23.01.2022 From today, Monday November 23 we're so relieved to announce that gym bookings are no longer required at the HFC! Class bookings for Reformer Pilates, Yoga and Group Fitness are still essential but if you're just wanting to pop down to get your sweat on, you're welcome to (just like the good old days!). We will be monitoring all rooms to ensure that the HFC is meeting all Covid safety requirements in relation to Room Density Limits, and we ask that you please adhere to these ...new rules where required. While this is such a positive step in the right direction, we still need to continue working together to ensure a Covid-safe environment for all members and staff! 21.01.2022 ONE MORE SLEEP! The gym is back, but not as you know it! We have kept ourselves busy during this quiet time, quietly fixing up the old Healesville Health Hub with a brand new entrance, renovated bathrooms and pilates studio and we cannot wait to welcome you all through our doors from tomorrow morning, 5.30am! It goes without saying that there are rules regarding COVID-19 that will make your gym experience a little bit different, the main one being limited numbers in rooms. Th...e weights room at the Healesville Fitness Centre has a max capacity of 20 people at a time including trainers. All other rooms have a maximum capacity of 13 people at a time including trainers. You will find posters dotted throughout the space instructing you of the capacity. We ask that you all abide by these rules and do a quick headcount before entering any room. The staff at HFC will of course be monitoring this but if we all work together we can ensure that everyone can enjoy the space! For now you do not need to book a time to attend the gym, however we will be closely monitoring numbers this week and if need be, will be introducing bookings. All group exercise classes can be booked online, over the phone on (03) 5962 5699 or at the reception desk. On top of this, it is crucial that we all sanitise our hands as often as possible and wipe down ALL equipment after use. Whether it's a 45 minute session on the treadmill or 30 seconds of power on the bench press, please please wipe everything down after you use it! We will be routinely cleaning the gym and equipment but ask that everyone be mindful of these crazy times and do their bit too! If you have any questions or suggestions please do not hesitate to chat to one of us. We are incredibly open to new ideas and want to make your experience at the Healesville Fitness Centre as fun, engaging and empowering as possible! 19.01.2022 RAFF'S BACK!! We're over the moon to announce that the one and only Raff Ades is returning to the HFC and will be running Real Reality Martial Arts Classes on Tuesday's at 6.30pm! Real Reality Martial Arts is a Mixed Martial Art (MMA) which consists of boxing, Muay Thai, Brazilian jiu-jitsu and wrestling. Classes allow you to learn an art whilst at the same time get a great workout! ... As most of you know, Raff has a rich history working within these walls - having kicked-off his career at the age of 19, he has spent the last 13 years honing and refining his craft and we couldn't be happier to welcome him back to the gym! 12.01.2022 In light of the State Governments announcements earlier today, the Healesville Fitness Centre will be closing its doors for the short and sharp lockdown from 8pm tonight. All memberships have been frozen until we are able to once again welcome you into the gym, at this stage that will be 5.30am Thursday February 18. If you have pre-purchased a pass for Yoga or Reformer Pilates please note your booking will of course be rescheduled or your money back. We are obviously devasta...ted by the news, however hope that this quick response will ensure community safety and enable us to reopen our doors sooner rather than later. 11.01.2022 We are devastated to announce that the Healesville Fitness Centre will be closed from 8.30pm, Wednesday the 8th of July in line with new state government COVID restrictions. As much as it pains us to close our doors so soon after reopening, we are also so proud of our first few weeks and so appreciative of all your support! We always knew there was risk involved in opening a gym during a pandemic, but we’re glad we did! All memberships will be frozen until we can reopen, for ...those who have paid in advance we will be in touch over the following days. 06.01.2022 Whether it's been a quick hello at the front desk or taking part in one of her Group Fitness Sessions, by now you are no-doubt all familiar with the positive force of nature that is Hailey Chamberlin (but we thought it about time we introduce her anyway!) Heralding from Sunny California, Hailey made the move over to Melbourne in January 2020 for a bit of a change and quickly fell in love with the Yarra Valley! Hailey is currently in her third year of uni, and will very soon b...e a registered Dietitian & Sports Nutritionist, this is on top of her certifications as a Group Fitness Instructor (go you good thing!). When it comes to her approach to fitness, Hailey brings a level of enthusiasm and passion that is contagious! "I thrive when I see people push outside their comfort zone, feel proud of themselves and have fun along the way - one of the most rewarding elements of instructing a class is seeing the wave of positive energy that everyone brings from motivating each other to go beyond what they thought they were capable of!"
