Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, ... or the smallest act of caring. All of which have the potential toter a life around. Leo Buscaglia In this crazy period we all seem to be in a hurry and it is way to easy for tempers to fray, whether we are shopping and there is a queue to get served, or we are in our cars and someone jumps in front of us, or someone is late. And then this adds to our stress load. If instead we decide that we are going to go about and be kind that can change everything. Imagine if instead of complaining in the queue at the shops you compliment the shop assistant on how wonderfully they is coping with this busy period. How would they feel? How would you feel? You could change their day as well as your day. We just never know what another person is going through, for many this is a really rough time of year, whether it is because relationships have not gone as planned, or fiancees are tight, or health issues have arisen, or maybe some other struggle. It can be easy to get overenthusiastic and want to put on the biggest lunch or dinner, buy the best presents, try that new recipe, however all of this just adds to our stress load and makes us tired and irritable which is no way to thrive. It is so easy to get caught up with not just events but all the shopping and all the preparation of foods and gifts and juggling a million things. And then we feel guilty that we haven’t got enough or been enough. And seriously most people have enough stuff what we need to know is that we are loved and cared for - way more important. For you and those you love. Instead of rushing to the shops to get the sale or buy that extra present, it is time to tell those you love that you love them and how important they are to you. Never assume just because you spend time with someone that they know that you love them. Tell them that you love them.And then make sure your actions follow through. Love and blessings xx

How easy is it to justify our anger? Whether it is with a loved one, a co-worker or a stranger, somehow we always feel right and justified and that they are wrong. We all have a choice in how we respond to everything, and how long we keep that anger burning. However, who is this really hurting? Next time you catch yourself being angry make a conscious decision to change it . Change it for you, for those you love and for the world. We are all connected and that energy goes out from you and affects others too. How often have you walked into a room and felt you could cut the energy with a knife, or you meet a friend and you know straight away that they are mad and angry. Because how you feel affects you, and then it affects everything around you. A group of school children did a plant experiment. They had two lots of seedlings and one lot they sent loving thoughts to and the other they sent angry thoughts to. You guessed it, the plants they sent loving thoughts to blossomed and thrived and those they send angry thoughts to withered and died. If we can affect a plant with our thoughts how much are you affecting you, and your health, and those of your loved ones?
