21.01.2022 KEEPING FULL OF HOPE & JOY! Here are some tips to help you at this time of crises: 1. Count your blessings every day - focus on what you still have rather than what you have lost; 2. Find opportunities to thank at least one person each day 3. Get daily exercise in fresh air and sunshine - aiming for a minimum of 30 minutes aerobic exercise / day 4. Read the news just to know what to do next, but set aside only a short 30-60 minutes a day to do this (perhaps towards the end... of the day, but not before going to bed). The rest of the time think about, read, listen to or watch something inspiring and hope-filled. There is a wonderful quote from the Bible which inspires me, "you will do best by filling your minds and meditating on things true, noble, reputable, authentic, compelling, gracious--the best, not the worst; the beautiful, not the ugly; things to praise, not things to curse." 5.Listen to music that research has shown improves your mood (Vivaldi, Mozart and similar classical music - you don't even have to like the music for it to have affect) 6.Eat healthy - whole plant based food, limited to no sugar, limited to no refined foods 7. Stay away from toxins - tobacco and alcohol have been shown to reduce your immune system See more

03.01.2022 This past Sunday for 8 Weeks to Wellness was a trip to the shops for the shopping tour after a fantastic presentation by Viki Madi on Temperance. Dinner was not forgotten with sweet potato noodles and tofu stiry-fry placed in take-away containers for the participants! Delightfully fruity carob balls finished the meal off nicely.
