20.01.2022 Moving your little ones through a dry sleep. A growing family comes with its challenges and if your little one is still wetting the bed it may be time to get some help. Bedwetting (known as nocturnal enuresis) is common in children. We know that almost one third of three to four year olds wet the bed most nights, and by the time children are six it's one in 10, and one in 20 by the age of 10. ... When should I be concerned? If bedwetting is bothering your little one, and remains a problem once they are around six or seven years of age, our physiotherapists trained in Paediatric continence concerns can assess your child and provide you with a helpful roadmap to dry nights. Bedwetting is rarely a behavioural problem, if you'd like to find out more get in touch. #movingwithyouthroughlife #healthfocusphysio

20.01.2022 Healthfocus is proud to support the Murray Bushranger’s AFLW NAB U19 Girl’s this year. It has been fantastic to see this group of young women continue to gain new skills, and compete at an elite level in their chosen sport. One of the downsides of Women’s AFL which has been highlighted recently is the increased incidence of serious knee injuries. With anterior cruciate ligament injuries 5-8 times more likely to occur in females than males, as well as having a greater incid...ence of concussion than their male counterparts. Having a better understanding of these injuries, and how they may potentially be prevented, is vital to assist both coaches, and health professionals to optimise their care of these athletes, and incorporate injury prevention into these programs. If you are involved as a coach or player, with Women’s U16 and U19 AFLW at a community level, get in touch with the Women’s Community Football Project to register your club.
