22.01.2022 Its been another sad week in our house as we had to take our dog Bella to the vet, knowing she wont be returning home with us..... so I have been a bit distracted with things lately. But with all the changes in my life, I know that we will be OK in time.... we just need some time to pass so the sadness lifts. But life goes on and we need to just keep going.... With all the craziness of the last few months we have relied on social media to educate people on essential oils and their uses.... and this one popped up recently.... probably a reminder for us to start our face to face education classes again..... with some social distancing to keep people safe.... 10.01.2022 A sad time for my family. My Mum passed away yesterday..... she was 91 (and 8 months). It feels very numbing to know I wont speak to her again.... or see her when I go down to Melbourne. ... We talked on the phone, messaged each other and on Mothers Day the whole family did a FaceTime call to her.... it was hilarious... and thats the last time I saw her... So for a little while I will be absent from this page....and I hope you understand as there is a great deal to do and sort out and process. Keep well people..... and ring or see your loved ones often. Love H

09.01.2022 Look at this cute little plant pot I picked up today at Bunnings, with three little sections for three little plants.... A fern, a spider plant and pink syngonium...... Back in the late 70s and early 80s Mum and I had a few indoor plants in our unit.... we had a happy plant and a monsteria that was growing wild in our shower/laundry room. I bet back then we didnt know how good it was for us to have indoor plants.... Seems to now be a huge trend again and my daughter has a bedroom full of plants ... and thats now spilling into the garden. These plants help purify the air quality inside... My pets dont seem to go anywhere near them... I must admit I am not good with gardening at all and have killed my fair share of plants over the years.... Rosemary especially as I am on plant six.... so far so good. I have learnt that if a plant starts looking unwell it could be either too much water, too little water or its just in the wrong spot...... Anyway having plants around you in your home and office is something to think about.... I have tried herb gardens and tend to be very unsuccessful...so my essential oils are my go to if I need them for cooking..... one or two drops is plenty. We have a vege patch here as well... my daughter is in charge of that. We are very successful at growing tomatoes....but I am allergic to them .... our dog likes to pinch them off the bush and eat them though... 08.01.2022 This weekend went super quick... I had a massive day on Saturday...a full day of scrapbooking with a 30 minute massage in the morning.... the massage got my very concrete like neck and shoulders moving again... and it moved some toxins out which resulted in me having a migraine by the time I got home and my entire shoulders and upper back spamming all night..... I passed out on the couch around 7pm and at 11pm decided to go to bed.... by 1.30am I was still tossing and turni...ng and in and out of sleep, with the pain getting beyond a joke. So up and a few strong pain killers in me, then I reached for the ICE Blue rub. I couldnt reach much of the places giving me grief, but got the rub on my shoulders and neck and on the lower back... it was enough to give me some relief and get some sleep. It was a rough night.... This lead to a slow Sunday.... a few early ibuprofen tablets to take the edge off and more ice blue rub and a hot shower....it got me through the day and although I was still in pain, I managed to help the kids get a project to near completion.... An upcycled bath, pallets, wood and garden stones, turned into a pond... What do you think? Remember that part of living a healthier lifestyle is to do things for YOU.... I would have never guessed that a massage would have me in so much pain... unbearable really... Take time for yourself and when you need to REST...

For those that dont know me I am an Accountant..... so household budgeting is just like looking after the books at work... You have to be constantly on the look out for better ways and cheaper ways to buy things.... I swapped my shopping habits when I got my online dTERRA account.... because I benefit, health wise and budget wise. Here are two easy examples..... Air fresheners or sprays..... and cleaning wipes... I came across these two doing my food shopping this morning. I am giving no option of the pictured product specifically... they are just pictures of two samples I came across...but Are they good for my health... no, they are full of chemicals, but they may smell ok. Are they good for my budget.... no, they can be made for a few dollars each AND are chemical free.... I recently ran a home cleaning make and take class and air freshener and cleaning wipes were two examples we made .... easy as.... and much better for you. 02.01.2022 Gosh it was a tough week for me personally.... My hormones were raging... for two weeks I was irritable, had no tolerance for idiots, my body just hurt from top to toe....my shoulder kept me awake at night... so sleep was disturbed and I craved all the wrong food.. I just could not get my act together.... So I turned to the oils.... and ibuprofen.... and a trip to the doctor for my needle, weeks earlier than scheduled.... because I know my own body and whats normal and what ...isnt ...
