Hope you all have a productive time but are also taking care of yourself! - Try work in 30 minute time periods, followed by a 5 minute break. - 8 hours of sleep, plenty of fresh air and eating healthy food really helps! - Remember we are all in this together ... 11.01.2022 Hi everyone! Teddy Bear Hospital - UWA are looking for some volunteers to join their school visit this Thursday 9-11am at Weld Square Primary School. Volunteers work with children and their teddy bears, helping children to overcome their fear of going to the doctor. Getting involved with Teddy Bear Hospital is a great way of gaining confidence with working with kids, plus you can get some volunteer hours recorded on your transcript at the end of the year!... To volunteer, all you'll need is a Working with Children Check! We loved the enthusiasm shown at our events and AGM this year and we cannot wait to expand our committee! The following positions are open for nomination if you would like to get involved: 1. Sponsorship Officer a. The Sponsorship Officer shall work with the Admin Vice-President to liaise with appropriate external organisations in order to secu...re sponsorship for the Society. 2. Pathology and Laboratory Medicine Representative a. The Pathology and Laboratory Medicine Representative shall represent the views and interests of their major with respect to the educational, careers, sporting and social activities of the Society, and assist with those activities and promote the Society and its activities amongst their peers. You must study this major to nominate for this position. 3. Microbiology and Immunology Representative a. The Microbiology and Immunology Representative shall represent the views and interests of their major with respect to the educational, careers, sporting and social activities of the Society, and assist with those activities and promote the Society and its activities amongst their peers. You must study this major to nominate for this position. 4. Marketing Officer (x2) a. The Marketing Officers will be responsible for the generation of promotional materials for events and initiatives undertaken by HSS, as well as the managing of all club social media accounts. 5. International Students’ Representative a. The International Students’ Representative shall be responsible for representing the views and needs of international students under the school of biomedical science. They will be the liaison between HSS and the International Student Department (ISD). The International Students’ Representative must be an international student.
