THINGS TO KNOW: You will need a kettlebell and a microband for this workout David shares his variation of a microband walk that will specifically target your gluteal. Firstly you will need to position the microband just below your ankles. When stepping, rather than just lifting your feet off the ground, take each step by going up on the ball of your foot and turning your toes out slightly on an angle, and then lower down on your heals. This will create and keep tension on the microband throughout the walk For maximum impact: aim to do 4-6 rounds of these exercises back to back with minimal rest. We have seen a major shift in how we should eat, drink and move. Dieting throughout the decades has largely been targeted at the self-esteem of women seen through the introduction of diets such as Aitken, Weight Watchers (through their point system days), low calorie meal replacement drinks, low fat eating plans, restric...tive and calorie counting programs, just to name a few. As much as we had a chuckle over the Vogue diet advocated in the 1970's, it raised our concerns of the extremes being promoted in the ongoing pursuit for a diet that will give us the much "desired" body. It's not that calorie and calorie restriction won’t result in weight loss, as it often does. The question is: is it sustainable? Is it healthy for you hormonally, metabolically, mentally? Are you anxious about what you are eating and constantly thinking about food? Are you hungry all the time? Are you happy? What do you think?
