12.01.2022 This year has been like no other. Plenty of twists and turns, ups and downs, love and loss. When you thought calmness and normality had returned, these last two weeks of 2020 have challenged us again. I'm so looking forward to the closure of 2020. Mixed emotions for me having lost my little mate Hamish in August and coping with the rona rollercoaster. 07.01.2022 Goodbye Hemskirk Hamish Golan ED. CH. SDE ( my little mate Hamish ) 24/11/05 - 3/8/20 Hamish had two illnesses which were diagnosed last November - Westies Lung ( pulmonary fibrosis ) and Sick Sinus Syndrome. His health deteriorated last weekend and I made a very difficult decision. My little mate fell asleep forever peacefully. My little mate Hamish inspired me and introduced me to the doggy world. I am thankful for the time that we shared together - almost 15 years. ... Because of Hamish I studied canine myofunctional therapy, canine bowen therapy and small animal acupressure ( I will finish one day Amy Snow ). I looked for a dog sport which allowed his terrier instincts to shine and we found Earthdog. He went all the way in Earthdog and in 2015 gained his Earthdog Champion Title and he also gained the first ever Strong Dog Earthdog Title in Australia. After Hamish retired from Earthdog I still wanted to be involved in the sport and became an Earthdog judge. He also gained a K9 Nose Work Qualifying Certificate NW1. Hamish inspired me to start my small business Healthy Hound Treats and he soon became Chief Taste Tester, a role he loved. He loved our bush walks. These walks got shorter and slower as he got older but he was happy just to be out using his nose. Not having my little mate Hamish by my side is going to be tough but, I have all those beautiful memories we made together. Im going to miss you heaps my boy.

02.01.2022 Yay Healthy Hound Treats are back this Sunday 24th May at the Flour Mill Markets, Flour Mill Way, Summer Hill . . . . . . such great news and I've been doing a happy dance since I was told. Part of the motivation for The Flour Mill Markets relaunch is to provide the community with access to great food options again ( including your puppers' dog treats ), but the other important part is to give the amazing team of makers, growers and creators an outlet to share their products ...after they have spent months without one. The Flour Mill Markets team in line with government guidelines will be taking measures to social distance like spacing out stalls and installing temporary queue markers. There will be sanitizer stations and all stallholders will be cash free and contactless. The team need your help too. They suggest only one shopper per family, keep 1.5 metres apart, avoid touching fruit and veggies if you don't intend to buy them and avoid gathering inside the stalls. If you would like to preorder you pupper's faves you can. Just send DM and Virginia will have them ready for you to pick up at the market. I'm so looking forward to seeing everyone and their puppers again :)
