25.01.2022 DELUGE OF DAVIDS DISCUSS DISASTER this odd meeting of five DAVIDS took place in Pokhara Nepal four days after the earthquake which shattered the nation. A committee of local businessmen , resident foreigners and tourists were working together to assist in emergency relief activities. At this particular time David Singh the owner of the AM:PM Cafe, David Walters a tourist from the UK who was helping to raise funds and David Hine from Townsville Australia and project leader of ...a hearing clinic in Pokhara were joined by a Dr David Bouveriere from Medicines Sans Frontiere (France). He was looking for a helicopter to survey an area they wanted to reach, and thought we might help. We had only limited access to sending supplies in army helicopters but we did know a pilot with an ultra lite plane who was looking to help. We were then joined by the pilot, yes you guessed it, another David. Also from the UK but working in Pokhara David Price was an experienced ultra lite pilot and keen to step. However before final arrangement were in place we had word that an army chopper was available. Nevertheless all DAVIDS continued supporting the relief effort in different ways. See more

10.01.2022 To all my friends, Most of you would be aware that I was in Nepal at the time of the earthquake . I am still in Pokhara doing what I can to assist with sending out emergency relief and at he same time trying to raise funds from outside Nepal. 06.01.2022 Well we are all set for another visit to a nepal in March. This time some of the past volunteers (Connie,Jeanette and Holly) are joining us along with Valerie and two of her friends. Aside from working in the clinic we are undertaking a twenty day trek around the Annapurna Circuit. Six women and myself sounds ominous!!
