12.01.2022 What is the Hear Me Roar! Project? Smile Appreciate Encourage Support - Help others find strength and courage, and Roar Like a Lion! This project involves supporting patients, both adults and children, in South Australian hospitals, and supporting youth literacy.... So what do we actually do and how can you help? Care Packs We put together care packs for patients which include all sorts of things, for example, lip balm, lollies, books, journal, hand sanitiser, tissues, a beanie, and puzzles. Cushions We make multi-purpose cushions (under arm, forearm, neck and chest) to provide comfort to patients whether they are sick or injured. Port Pillows We also make port pillows which attach to seat belts (across the chest or abdomen) to help cushion surgical/port/incision sites. Book Bags Our youth and literacy are so important. We collect books and pack them into bags for various age groups for vulnerable and disadvantaged children here in South Australia. Check out our project website for more information: www.hearmeroarproject.com.au
