25.01.2022 Truth/ I lost myself completely after having my second bub. I was tired, stressed and broken. I tried to push through, but my body and my mind were struggling. (More than you know) As a Heath care practitioner, who was offering others words of support and helping them find solutions to their health queries, I felt like a fraud and a failure. I had lost myself! My thyroid was playing up... I was exercising to no avail, I was crying constantly, eating because I felt crap and ...crapping because I was eating bad hahah...I was seeking help yet not ready to receive it. Post Natal Depletion is something I am so incredibly passionate about. I firmly believe that most PND and PNA stems from a depletion like no other. The nutrients taken during pregnancy to grow those tiny fingers and toes is actually such a huge toll on a woman’s body. Sure, we have been doing it for centuries, but life was a little different then, food was different, our soil and farming was different!! Going through this journey set fire to my soul to never stop helping others in need. It’s not the number on the scales, but it’s the mental strength that matters!! And you CAN have this. I’m on your team! When I struggled I remember the exact moment that something inside me screamed now is the time to start and never look back. You are strong and you can beat this mental game and get your self back on track... I saw my nutritionist. & (can’t treat yourself) and said this has to stop.... we ran some functional tests. It was time to pull out all the stops to get my body and mind back on track....I quit coffee, I started supplements and herbs and began from the beginning. Just like my clients would. I started from the bottom and worked my way up! I cleaned my gut, my diet, my hormones, my mind and guess what!!! I succeeded. I am consistent, grateful and ever-evolving and putting one foot in front of the other every day. I have a routine and can find beauty in the sunrise, cold mornings and tough training sessions. I have energy to see clients back to back and be a great mum. I’m still learning and moving and have terrible ‘off’ days. But every day, I get up and I choose myself! 22.01.2022 You know what?! The amount of depletion we are experiencing at the moment is insane. Trying to keep up with the daily stressors, the mental load, the technology devices, the emails, the washing and of course the bloody pressure we put on ourselves is literally leaving us high and dry. I used to talk about postnatal depletion a lot. And how each baby zaps mum of all of the goodness on a cellular level that is needed for basic HUMAN function and survival! But I’m seeing this ...on sooo many levels now. Pregnancy and mum/dad life is a huge demand. But that aside... holy fuck we are ALL depleted. We are running around like fools chasing out tails and we don’t even know where to begin. My clients sit in front of me and when I ask what brings you in today the freaking panic on their faces thinking .... shit. This chick will think I’m a nut job... too hard basket for me.... When in actual fact, I’m piecing together the puzzle and thinking yep.... another depleted soul needing some serious nutritional love and herbal sanity. No problem is too big... every symptom is a sign, and when we break it down... you betcha you are depleted as F!!! No amount of vitamin gummies, kale slaw and tins of tuna will fix that. We need to nourish from within and out... treat you as an individual.....Food as medicine... nutritional repletion.... or even a herbal magic ‘Shaquille O’neal’ tonic coming right up. No one is too broken. We just need to draw on all of our tools to breathe life back into you. And have you living optimally. My aim in life is to bring you back to life... but on a whole new level.

19.01.2022 Are you in a constant state of overwhelm ? If I had a dollar for the amount of times someone has come into the clinic in a complete and utter state of burn out or overwhelm, I’d be insanely rich. . The thing is, i see your eyes darting, your pupils large, I see your lack of ‘colour’, I see your desperation to feel anything but this crazy overwhelm. . You have 1000 unopened emailed, you see everything as mess and clutter, you spin in circles unable to process emotions, unable ...to think of another meal to cook, it all seems too much. You cry on the bathroom floor. You try to ask for help but don’t even know where to begin. Everything makes you jump, your heart races you are constantly rushing and feel like you are running late but really you are actually on time. . You google and you self diagnose the symptoms and ohhh the symptoms are many! You don’t feel well like something is wrong ! Overwhelm and burnout is so incredibly common and I feel like the amount of people experiencing this is growing at a rapid pace. The truth is, we don’t have to live like this. We need to start somewhere! Don’t start when you hit burnout... because, that ain’t pretty! . Recognise the signs: . * Feeling anxious more frequently * You have trouble getting to sleep * You can’t make decisions * Have no inner space * You find it hard to breathe deeply * Constantly feeling stressed and tense * You’re irritable * Tense jaw * Your feel there is no fun in your life * You’re feeling constant pressure * Procrastination * Constant tears, rage or aggression . You need to gather your team, and set a plan. 1. Have the courage to SLOW 2. Get some help 3. Commit to less 4. Nourish your body Not doing anything or putting it off, sets you up for more pain long term..food sensitivities, leaky gut, insulin resistance, autoimmune diseases, chronic inflammation and much more. . In clinic I help a lot of people in overwhelm and burnout rediscover what it feels like to not have the weight of the world on their shoulders. 16.01.2022 Don’t even try to tell me gut health and food intolerances have nothing to do with SKIN health. 4 days after elimination of gluten and dairy (based on food intolerance test results) and a gut health regime added Swipe left for after pic!!. Guys 4!!!! Days!!!!! ... I am so proud of this client... absolute super star!!! I’ve also been sending her to @glo_haus for b12 injections.

12.01.2022 I’m finding myself attracting certain clients and I’m not mad about it. I am attracting clients who want to be here. They are excited. Thirsty for knowledge. Open. Raw. Honest. Enthusiastic. Emotional. And just bloody awesome. I am seeing the fire being lit in their loins and as they walk out my door I know they are going to give it everything. They are armed with knowledge, power and a plan. And who doesn’t love a plan! When did I get so lucky to be able to lift others up a...nd show them how powerful their bodies are. How unique each and every symptom is. How much their symptoms are merely just their bodies speaking to them and guess what guys. YOU are listening. You are getting results and now you see how good you can feel. This week alone I have made a baby (not personally) helped a vagina find its groove again, helped someone’s backed up Barry of a bowel and bought back smooth poops, I have given someone hope when they thought they had none, helped a client lose 7! Kgs in 5 weeks and sent someone for an iron transfusion who didn’t even know they were soooo low in iron. I have recommended b12 injections, told someone to go dairy free for their skin, and written 17 meal plans. And it’s only Thursday. You guys are absolutely blowing my mind and thank you universe for bringing me the right clientele. People who want to help themselves! I love my job.

11.01.2022 This is how I taco bowl. I’m on a bit of a gut overhaul to try and reduce a few symptoms I’m having. Hello pimples, fatigue, fluid retention and shit house cravings.... I am already gluten free and dairy free because they are not fun for me on any given day And now I am re-fuelling my microbiome again to get rid of these pesky symptoms and heal me from too many espresso martini’s.... I need to reduce my caffeine intake substantially. But I’m taking it slow.. because th...e lead up to Christmas will be nuts!! I am honouring my social life and my gut at the same time. It can be done! I promise. Sometimes it’s a slower process... sometimes it needs to be fecking hardcore too!!! (Yes clients stick to your own plan) But you can have your cake (gf and df) and eat it TOO. I’m all about working with individuals. Not protocol based. Nothing is ever a print off sheet... it’s tailored. Just like my own current gut programme. It involves wine in a few weeks time for my birthday!! I like me as my own Naturopath. I’m fun!!! But seriously slap those corn chips outta my hand someone !!

10.01.2022 I’d have to say this week was a record week for me! So much going on and fully booked! I couldn’t be more proud!! Normally I can get the meal plans, orders, admin and emails done in the clinic in between clients and in my breaks. Butttt I failed on the break department this week. So I have set up a little work station from home. This weekend will literally only consist of my 10km ritual walk, brunch and sitting right here getting on top of life admin. We don’t have an offic...e in this house (something I seriously miss when we sold our old house) so making do in the corner will have to work for now. Happy weekend guys. Hope you find a warm spot in the sunshine with a hot cuppa. Keep dreaming big. Your empire awaits you and thank you to my ‘coach’ and friend who helped me write my BHAG (big hairy audacious goal) you helped me get here! Without that mind map my empire would still be all on paper! It’s just the beginning friends.

06.01.2022 I Kid you not.... healthy skin comes from within. I am absolutely positive, that if we get it right on the inside.. You will glow on the outside! Working together with skin therapists and beauticians who actually ‘get’ that skin is multifaceted, has lead me to move my clients to literally cry happy tears when their skin finally changes for good. You have to put in the hard yards but yes, you can have good skin. 05.01.2022 That beautiful temperamental thyroid! The thyroid is a huge game player in your overall health! Getting a FULL thyroid panel check-up, in my opinion is so important to finding your ‘wellness’. On your blood test you will see the reference ranges are wide. And whilst your results may appear in the normal range but maybe on the lower or higher side of normal?! ... many clients still feel ‘something is up’. They may be experiencing symptoms such as fatigue, anxiety, weight g...ain, depression, constipation, weight loss, diarrhoea or heart palpitations. And my darlings... those symptoms aren’t exactly you feeling well are they?! An individualised approach is always needed and looking at your symptoms in their entirety and getting the full picture. As a Natroooo and Nutritionist, I like to see the full range... not just the TSH! That’s only one part of the story. I want it all!!!.
