24.01.2022 As you may already be aware, the China Australia Free Trade Agreement (ChAFTA) came into force on 20 December 2015. As a result of ChAFTA, an importer may be eligible to claim a reduction in customs duty payable on goods imported into Australia from China. Legislation compliance is essential and specific documents are required in order to claim a reduction or a refund.... Please click here for further details on the above or visit the Customs ChAFTA website at www.border.gov.au/Busi/Free/China

The live white lipped green tree viper was found by warehouse staff who were unpacking the container, much to their dismay. 02.01.2022 Harvey had to take several trips to the vet during his pre-export preparations. He had to be tested for and vaccinated against several diseases not present in A...ustralia, including rabies, ehrlichia, leishmania and leptospirosis. He also had to be checked and treated for ticks and other external parasites, and worms and other internal parasites. The vet needed to certify that all of the treatments had been undertaken in accordance with Australias requirements before Harvey would be eligible for import. Harvey didnt really enjoy this part of the process, but he maintained a brave face, knowing that it was necessary to get to his new home. Next step? Apply for an import permit.
