25.01.2022 Took the lovely Middy out on his own for the first time today for a little walk/trot and he handled it like a pro! Was a little looky in some spots but not one spook from him! Absolutely lovely boy! Looking forward to our lessons @kerrie_reely

25.01.2022 What a good girl you are #marelife

24.01.2022 Hump day... hope you are all making it through the week!

22.01.2022 Looking forward to hanging out with this stud tomorrow #freerange

22.01.2022 One of the more important things I have found when it comes to coaching, is that its so much more than just teaching someone to ride. Its connecting with the person on some level, even if its just something small (we like the same chocolate, have trained in the same sport watched the same movie) Its engaging the person and taking an interest in them. Its being able to mold yourself to that person's needs in that moment. Its knowing when to push someone or when to take a step back. It is so much more than riding! Happy horse vibes everyone! I hope youve all had horsey filled weekends!

22.01.2022 When the peices just fit together... like it was always meant to be. Happy Horse Hump day! #somethingiscoming #staytuned #missingpeice

21.01.2022 Starting the week off right! What are your horse riding goals for the week? I am super keen to be back on my girl after having to take a couple of weeks off riding, so were right back into learning and doing! It doesnt need to be anything big, even if for you it means just being able to sit on your horse. Set yourself a goal and then set out the steps you need to get there. Small step are still steps!

19.01.2022 Getting through life one ride at a time...

18.01.2022 I love package day!!! So excited to receive my red light pack from @equestricare and @rosmaindok_equinebiomechanics Thanks very much!! Eeekkk! #redlight #aahlight #natural #equinehealth

18.01.2022 Straight back into it for the new year! Getting back to the emails I have missed over the break (got to say its a lot harder to do on a tablet after my computer decided to die on me last year). New year so new goals! Have you got your goal board up and ready to keep yourself accountable? Thats the next thing up for me today after nasty paper and computer work! #2021comeatme #allthegoals #newyearnewgoals #accountability

18.01.2022 Getting in some learning before heading off to teach this afternoon! How much do you know about EGUS?

18.01.2022 Have you got your equine first aid kit in order? This is one of those things I'm really passionate about! Even before buying a horse I believe you should have at least a basic first aid kit on hand and know what the products are and how to use them. Horses get up to all kinds of mischief! I can't count the amount of times I said 'how the hell did you do that!'

18.01.2022 Ridden lesson with the lovely Kerrie and Middy went a lot better today than the last. Kerrie has both ground and ridden lessons with me as they get to know each other hopefully bridging that gap between ground and under saddle. Such an honor to be apart of their journey.

17.01.2022 Working today with Kerrie and her lovely boy Middy. Teaching him that its ok to stand still and nothing bad is going to happen on his right side lots of Yoyo game and a little driving game. What a georgous boy, who is coming along nicely

17.01.2022 What an absolute pleasure it has been with this Tilly girl! I hope she has the best time at her new home! All the best little sass! #tilly #shire #clydiex #ramseys

16.01.2022 New fly rugs and flyvales for the babies from @flybustermasks and bought from local feeders @wanneroostockfeeders #shoplocal #supportsmallbusiness #adventuresofharleyquinn #bearinthebigbluehouse #Harley #Blue

15.01.2022 This is the lovely couple Sasha and Paddy. When Sasha started with me she was just about ready to give up. Her confidence had been knocked and was feeling lost in her horse journey. There were a few behaviours that Paddy would throw out there that would scare her. We started out with ground work so I could try and get an idea of what she was talking about. Turns out Paddy was being a horse but Sasha had never been told or learnt what that meant. When in doubt basics are always key, so back to basics we went! Sasha is now back on her horse riding around with a new set of tools on how to handle what makes her uncomfortable. It has been an absolute pleasure to be apart of her on going journey.

15.01.2022 Attended a liberty clinic today with this hidden gem! It was refreshing listening to someone really passionate about what they do and willing to share all they have to offer! Really looking forward to the next one! https://www.facebook.com/yoannlevesqueequestrian/

13.01.2022 No coaching this weekend, I have a lovely friend filling in for me. But still a horse filled weekend! Harleys first ridden show out was successful today! Hoping to attend Horsemens tomorrow if the weather holds out . .... . Hope you are all having a horse filled weekend! See more

13.01.2022 Starting the day off with education, before I head out to the horses to ride and teach! How have you started your morning off? Have you set you day up for success and growth? Remember, success and growth quite often will come from failure, because we don't grow without things going wrong sometimes. Have a great day everyone!

11.01.2022 Something to think about as we start to move into the warmer weather...

11.01.2022 Looking forward to this weekends load of students coming through! Love watching their progress and improvement each week! @wanneroo_riding_centre_ofcl What are your riding goals for the weekend?

11.01.2022 Treated Harley to a new halter in a colour a swore she would never wear... but she actually looks really nice in it! Thank you @wanneroostockfeeders !

11.01.2022 This beautiful boys name is Ozzy. He belongs to one of my bosses(whom i am VERY greatful to) who has given me a great opportunity to ride and play with him and see what we can do together. . . Oz is a WB x Fresian and just turned 6 so still has a lot of learning to do. Standing at over 17hh hes a big boy! Very excited to see what this boy is made of!

10.01.2022 So very proud of all my riders who braved the weather to have their lessons @wanneroo_riding_centre_ofcl the weather turned out not to be so bad! Well done to each and everyone of you, I love the commitment!!

09.01.2022 We had to take a step back today. Harley decided she didnt want me to mount in a different place than we usually do. So we had to regroup and go back to ground work basics until she'd stand nicely at the make shift block. This sort of behaviour use to scare me because it would translate into our ride when I could eventually get on (30 minutes later). I needed help and the tools then to work out what to do. You cant do what you dont know. Getting help and asking questions is not failure! Its a willingness to learn. So really it was a small step back and then a great leap foward today!!

05.01.2022 I want you to make mistakes. . . This is something I quite often say to my students. 'I want you to get it wrong' If you get everything right the first time, you don't learn. It's when mistakes are made that you are able to learn to correct them. Whether it be in horse riding or in life in general, if it was all smooth sailing how would you handle when something went wrong when it hasn't before? I want mistakes to be made while youre training so you know how to handle them wh...en you are on your own. Mistakes are what help us learn and grow. See more

03.01.2022 Thanks to everyone who entered! . . . The 2 winners were picked at random...make sure you stay tuned for future giveaways!!!... . . . Congratulations to @_that_bay_standardbred_ and @kylaequestrian !! Please pm me so we can get your $50 vouchers to you!! See more

03.01.2022 On Tuesday I walked out of my house and was greeted with a wall of grief and pain in the air. People I knew and didnt know had lost their homes, were scared for their lives and loved ones and had lost everything. Fire does not care if you have fancy things or if you live a more basic life. It does not care about good and bad or unjust. It will wash over and take anything in its path. After 4 days of driving, hauling animals, taking phone calls among other things, I've been ab...le to sit down and reflect over the last few days. This past week I have been proud to call myself an Equestrian. Its not often I feel that way. There is a lot of bullshit that comes in to play in this community, "look at that persons horse haha" "omg! Did you see that they just fell off" look at what their wearing, I would be caught dead in that!" "That person doesnt deserve that horse". This week that person may have been the one who dropped everything to come and help haul people out of the fires, opened up their home and space to you, donated food and shelter for those that didnt have any. Please remember that the next time you are remarking on something that really doesnt have anything to do with you. I have been proud to call myself an equestrian this week because this community came together when it really mattered most. In a time of need people rallied together and performed impossible things in impossible time frames. This week I am proud to be an equestrian. . On a side note I implore people to PLEASE float train your horses, if you're not sure how, find someone who does. It saves so much time and stress when you know the horse is going to go on. Trying to float train in an emergancy and fighting against time isnt ideal. . The fire is still going but is a hell of a lot better than the start of the week, I really hope that the worst is over. . Thank you to everyone who helped over these last few days, the donations that came through to help feed people, especially from @woolworthswhitfords and @padburyiga, the feed from @wanneroostockfeeders and agistment centres that opened up their doors like @wanneroo_riding_centre_ofcl . May the coming days be better Heart to Hand Equestrian See more

01.01.2022 Lessons with my students officially start back up tomorrow! Super excited to get back into it with them! So looking forward to watching their development through the year and just feeling so privileged to be a part of their journey . . . Featuring the King of his paddock (Oz) in his new dress robes (new year, new robes) from our local @wanneroostockfeeders and fly mask from @flybustermasks
