04.01.2022 Every year around 34,000 Australians and New Zealanders suffer out-of-hospital cardiac arrest. Today is 'Restart a Heart Day' and we're shining the light on the... importance of learning what actions an individual can take to save someone's life, including learning the signs of cardiac arrest and how to perform CPR. Early CPR and access to a defibrillator can significantly increase your chances of surviving a cardiac arrest, but Heart Foundation research shows more than half of Aussies wouldn’t feel confident stepping in. The Heart Foundation has released its results on 'Restart a Heart Day' to spread the word that anyone can use an AED to help save a life, without fear they will cause greater harm to the patient.
