22.01.2022 Pregnancy brings a variety of new experiences for all mothers. Lilly was excited to become a new mom, yet her pregnancy with twins was high risk. At 25 weeks..., Lilly was hospitalized in our antenatal care unit (ACU) for close monitoring, all during a pandemic. To normalize Lilly's stay as much as possible, our Music Therapy team had weekly sessions with her. As Lilly is a musician herself, our team was able to personalize these sessions by playing music with her, singing and writing songs. Not only did this provide her a weekly schedule to follow, it also helped in boosting her mood and emotions, as she spent 60+ days in the ACU. Today, Lilly and her husband have two healthy babies, who are now two of our tiniest Music Therapy patients. See more
