25.01.2022 Excited to be supporting this group!
25.01.2022 My little office at thirroul chiropractors. to keep everyone safe I am now doing online sessions at a reduced price as so many jobs have been lost. My work is hugely informed by gestalt psychotherapy (masters), art therapy and experientially counselling modalities. I also use a method called focusing (which takes you on and mind and body journey) plus, dream work and personally devised meditations. "Heather is a highly professional and talented art therapist. Clients a...re drawn to her calm energy, nature and deep insights. She has been fantastic working in the women's group for the Indigo Project. I would highly recommend her skills to anyone who is looking for deep transformation." Psychologist, Mary Hoang founder of The Indigo Project. "Throughout my sessions with Heather I can say I've made more progress compared to other therapy I have had. Her calming and nurturing presence makes it so much easier to open up and express. Not only have I learned to overcome some of the issues I was facing, but I've taken away valuable tools to use in the future. Highly recommended and could not express more thanks for what she has helped me achieve." Hospitality worker, Age 20
22.01.2022 Being under the escarpment now feels like.
22.01.2022 How was the time under ground and hibernating... easy, difficult, isolating, calming? Personally I’ve enjoyed being under rock and will probably keep hibernating until I’m ready to rebirth in my own way- inspired by this queen @fkatwigs It’s been such a difficult 2020 for the world. My heart hurts for all the pain that has been experienced from the bush fires, covid and the protest acknowledging the current deadly discrepancies in our society... though there is a sense of relief through (the most basic way awareness) of these massive issues. Let’s continue to keep that awareness and action alive for real change.
21.01.2022 It’s a gift to be back at Guthrie house working with the women in transition from prison to society again. I’m thankful for the the connection online but very much enjoying the personal connections...
21.01.2022 Luke in his prime as the weather warms up. Love this photo! Always fun to adventure with you friend.
19.01.2022 Here is a testimonial from one of my clients. Thank you for sharing your words and experience. It's important to me as a practitioner to meet each client where they personally are. There is never one size fits all when it comes to getting the right support. This is one of the reasons I personally chose to help people through psychotherapy and art therapy rather than other modalities. Both of these ways of working allow the practitioner to gain knowledge and felt experience wi...th the client, in a clinical and professional way, as well as facilitating people to be able to come to their own insights and transformation. I have found in my personal experience of healing and as a practitioner that the deepest benefits come from walking beside and with a client relationally. #selfcare #therapy #gestalt #arttherapy #counselling #thirroul #wollongong #austinmer #meditation #pyschology #online #sydney #heatherdevine #art #grouptherapy

11.01.2022 Light as a feather, stiff as a board replace the thought, cool as a cumber, strong as a rock..
11.01.2022 In the studio today working online with some clients. In the past month I’ve been able to engage into my own creativity most pieces I created are due to a therapeutic process I’ve tapped into, then turn the experience into something tangible that again allows for more healing and amplification. This is the work I also do with my clients.
10.01.2022 A collage I made three years ago when I wanted to step more into my masculinity. All my art works are created from going through a therapeutic process and embodied the experience into Art which is what I also offer my clients - with amazing break throughs and insights
09.01.2022 Another Collage I was working on after my own art therapy session. About 3 years ago. Process was about being and trusting/ embodying my higher self -working with my powerful feminine grounded and supportive archetypes.
08.01.2022 Thank you Vincentia High, Links for Learning for having me for an art therapy session. #arttherapy #schoolproject #grouptherapy #collage #selfexploration #selfcare #selfesteem #cut #psychotherapy #mentalhealth #teens
07.01.2022 I met Coco through a friend in Sydney years ago and was drawn to his calm nature. Coco now lives up north with his family - his one of my favourite artists. His work resonates with me as it reminds me of the symbology that informs and influences Art Therapy and Transpersonal Art Therapy sessions and methods. The images to me have a likeness and air of Jungian imagery and thinking. I am personally a huge lover of Jung too. 03.01.2022 My number one little mate at woonona ocean pools today
01.01.2022 Part of my work is delving into the idea of Jungian archetypes.. it’s a beautiful frame work to understand the parts of you that are playing out and how they do or don’t serve you- and in the not serving you - confronting and being present with the message that experience of not serving you may actually have- Jung calls this ( finding the juicy/ helpful material - in the not serving) The golden shadow. Further exploring may look like: why has this part of myself surfaced ag...ain - what are you avoiding? What are you protecting yourself from that maybe doesn’t exist any more? What experience are you moving away from. Personally after being in long term relationships my whole life until the last 4 years it’s been profoundly powerful to let my masculine energy and part of my self play out/ develop and balance. As a sensitive and someone who is in their feminine archetype predominantly balancing my masculine has severed me running two business, directing my life and achieving where I want to be in relationships and living. This is something that will continue to be an explorative process for me. I encourage you to tap into what archetypes are playing out in yourself at the moment? And how are they working or not working for you? See more
