There are 5.25 trillion pieces of plastic debris in the ocean. 2. 269,000 tons float on the ocean surface. 3. Four billion plastic microfibers per square kilometre litter the deep sea. 4. 1 million plastic bottles are purchased every minute.... 5. 6.4 million tons of plastics are dumped into the ocean, this is the same as 3,200 kilometres of trucks each loaded with garbage. 6. Plastic is designed to last, it doesn’t break down. 7. 50% of all plastics bags used, is only used once and then thrown away. 8. A whopping 91% of plastic isn’t recycled 9. Plastics are hydrocarbons that are made from petroleum. 10. They can be converted back to liquid fuel. 14.01.2022 Yesterday was interesting, I changed my LinkedIn page as I needed to change my email address as it would no longer connect to me. Because of this it made me focus on what I really wanted to do (check out my new LinkedIn focus). CHANGE IS GOOD!! Then disaster.... I spilt a glass of water over my computer.... this time I was slumming it, last time I spilt a glass of champagne.... I now have one dead and buried computer, pick up new one on Friday. Expensive exercise!! As I say change is good.
