25.01.2022 21 days to go until Christmas! We are fully restocked with lots of gold and silver jewellery and of course, free gift wrapping. Open 9:30am-5:30pm Tuesday to Friday and 9:30am-12:30pm Saturdays.

25.01.2022 Business update: In the interest of public safety and following the governments guidelines for everyone to stay at home, it feels irresponsible to remain open for walk in trade at this time. The government tells us to remain open and then in the next breath tell customers to stay away. And I agree...if we all stay at home and stop going out for any reason other than the absolute essentials, then we have a much better chance of getting back to some semblance or normality much... sooner. We will be placing ourselves into a voluntary lockdown for now. The store is no longer open for walk in trade. We will complete jobs as promised and contact each of you to arrange some method of delivery as soon as they are ready, in line with whatever restrictions are currently in place. We are working day and night to upload our entire retail inventory to our website and this will be happening over the next week. We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience that the temporary closure of the store might pose. It was a decision that came with many emotions and more than few tears but we do this so that we can be here for the long term. Please look after yourselves, physically and mentally. 24.01.2022 Our month of $5 jewellery cleaning has come to an end. Thanks to all of you who popped in to have some jewellery cleaned, we raised $815. Those of you who know Amber, know she hates uneven numbers so we popped in a bit extra to bring it to an even $1000. The money was donated online today through the Bendigo Bank National Bushfire Appeal. Stay tuned for an announcement next week, we will be holding another fundraiser in February for Wildlife Victoria. Again, from the bottom of our hearts, thank you for helping us to raise this money for bushfire affected families and communities.

23.01.2022 Have you ever wondered how a ring ends up as a ring? From the raw material to finished product has more steps than you might think. For those of you interested in gemstones, here are a few interesting facts about Iolite. With a hardness of 7-7.5, the stunning deep violet colour of iolite occurs due to the inclusion o...f iron in its mineral composition. The colour is completely natural, no treatment is needed to enhance this stone. Iolite throughout history has sometimes been referred to as the Viking compass stone. Vikings used slices of iolite to help them navigate the seas as the polarising ability of iolite allowed them to locate the position of the sun even in the most overcast of conditions. See more

21.01.2022 Have you cleaned your watch band lately? We often think to have our jewellery cleaned but forget that through daily wear, our watches will also build up dirt and bacteria. Watch our video on a watch band clean that we did this afternoon. The results may shock you! DIY warning...do not submerge your watch in water to clean the band, the band should be removed prior to cleaning.

Here’s a couple we can share, made by Heath this week. We can’t make anything else before Christmas but we do have lots of beautiful pieces in the showroom ready to go and free gift wrapping too!

20.01.2022 Edit: Update from the department of Health After lengthy time on hold this morning, I was able to ascertain that we are allowed to remain open for business for the time being. Retail shops, hairdressers etc are still open. Cafes and restaurants are allowed to trade take away only. We will be opening for business as usual for now. This can of course change with very little notice and we will be keeping a close eye on the rules and recommendations as they become available. I’m... the event of a shut down ( which is still most definitely on the cards) we want to reassure everyone that we will still be working away to get work done so you are most welcome to drop off jobs that you would like to have done. We are thinking of everyone, especially our friends and neighbours in business and wish everyone well. Dear customers, No doubt you have all heard of the looming business shut down that is to commence across Victoria as of Tuesday. We just wanted to touch base to let you know how we will be handling this within our business. We will be open tomorrow, Monday the 23rd from 9:30am right through until 8:30pm. These extended hours are to allow you to drop off any jobs or collect any completed jobs before we close up for the shut down. As we have no employees , we will continue to work during the shut down to complete your jobs so that you will be able to collect them when we are all allowed to venture out again. As a small business, this shut down is absolutely devastating to us. We completely understand the reasons why it needs to happen but that does not change the fact that we will have no income whatsoever until the government informs us of when we can trade again. Many of the governments stimulus plans do not apply to us as we do not employ staff and the few that may apply will not be distributed until the end of April at the earliest. This is six weeks with potentially little to no income. If you have jobs that are completed and can see your way to collecting them tomorrow, we would greatly appreciate the support as every dollar counts. We have been in business for fifteen years, had our shopfront for eleven of those years and raised two wonderful children in this community. We are sure, with your help and support, that we will be able to weather this challenging time and be here for fifteen more. 18.01.2022 We are back in action tomorrow from 9:30am! For the whole month of January we will be offering $5 clean and polish per item of jewellery (not including rhodium on white gold) and $5 from every repair or sale with all funds donated to the National Bushfire appeal, organised by Bendigo Bank and the Salvation Army. There will also be a donation box on the counter. We hope you all had a safe Christmas and new year.

14.01.2022 We are open! The government has been a little bit vague when it comes to retail. Do we open? Do we stay closed for a bit longer? We made the decision this morning to resume our normal trading hours with the following practices in place for your continued safety. Hand sanitizer is supplied at the counter, we encourage you to use it. We will limit the amount of customers in the store at any one time. This will ensure that we more than comply with the 4 square meter and 1.5 mete...r social distancing rules. Our website will remain operational. 13.01.2022 This beautiful sapphire and diamond ring was collected yesterday, made by Heath for another one of our lovely clients. We were so happy with the way this turned out, beautiful and elegant.

12.01.2022 Heath is finishing up the last couple of repairs and custom made rings for this year. We will be closing up at 2pm on Christmas eve and then taking a little break to rest and recharge before we tackle whatever 2021 can throw at us. We hope you all have a peaceful Christmas with your loved ones, whether in person or virtually. The shop will re-open on January 12th.

12.01.2022 Here’s a sneak peak of something Heath has been working on in between custom jobs. It’s about to go up for sale on our website. A massive 20 carat amethyst in 9ct rose gold with a diamond for extra sparkle. This stone was just too nice to sit in the safe. It was just screaming out to be made into something.

02.01.2022 One of our recent custom hand made rings for a lovely client. All of the diamonds were recycled from the clients old, broken and sentimental jewellery. We supplied a gorgeous royal blue Australian sapphire for a pop of colour. After a lengthy design process to get the ring design just right and a lot of late nights for Heath, the ring is complete. Every piece handmade from start to finish by Heath in our Eaglehawk workshop. This one was a marathon but well worth the wait.

01.01.2022 Due to the easing of restrictions, we are now back to our normal opening hours. Tuesday to Friday 9:30-5:30 and Saturday mornings 9:30-12:30. No appointment needed. Masks are required to be worn in store and hand sanitiser is available for use at the counter.
