This is very exciting times for HBC and the reappointment of Simmo further enhances the future direction, vision and goals of the Club. As we see more and more clubs looking for playing coaches, securing Simmo signals a clear intent that Heathmont is heading in the right direction. 22.01.2022 BREAKING: Yet EVEN MORE local sports clubs to receive $1,000 each to help get them through the pandemic, as part of the fourth round of the Andrews Government g...rants announced! Local sports are the lifeblood of our community. They bring people together and keep people active, social and healthy. Doesn't get better than that. There's no denying it's been a tough time recently for everyone - clubs included. This is why I'm so proud that the first tranche of Community Sport Sector COVID-19 Survival Package grants have been allocated. 15 more local clubs have been some of the first to receive these funds. They include: - Bayswater Junior Football Club - Bayswater North Tennis Club - Boronia Buffaloes Basketball Club - Boronia Lawn Bowls Club - Knox City Cougars Basketball - Batterham Park Tennis Club - The Basin Cricket Club - Heathmont Bowls Club - Heathmont Cricket - Heathmont Hornets Basketball Club - Maroondah Volleyball - Bayswater Bowls Club - Eastern All Abilities Netball - Eastwood Golf and Bowls Club - Wantirna Wasps Basketball Club It's all about backing in our community groups when they need it most - and there's more to come!

Theyre an ...amazing club and thats also why I was glad to fill them in with the news that theyd received a grant for $1,000 to go towards helping them get back on their feet. 11.01.2022 It's been a tough slog for our local sports clubs lately. They are continuing through it all to do an amazing job of connecting with their community. I checked ...in with them recently to get their feedback on a range of issues. I've been really pleased that the Andrews Government has stepped up to provide dozens of one-off survival grants to clubs right across our patch. They're absolute mainstays of our community - and they'll continue to play a really important role when we get to the other side of this pandemic. But it's more than that. It's also about staying connected and to listening to feedback. So hosting regular catch ups to touch base is the very least I can do. Thanks for doing what you do!
