11.01.2022 BROGAN MURPHY - Candidate for City of Joondalup Elections, 2019 Id like to take this opportunity to introduce myself as I am running for Joondalups North Central Ward in the October local elections (with postal votes arriving at the end of September). That consists of Connolly, Edgewater, Heathridge, Mullaloo and Ocean Reef. I have provided a link to my facebook page that I have had up since 2017 when I ran for Mayor. I received a lot of support from this ward as well as thr...oughout the city and as I live here, I want to make sure the decisions council makes are in our best interests. I live in Edgewater. We are dealing with the impacts of the Housing Opportunity Areas and we feel forgotten in the narrative. It seems there is a severe lack of consultation, communication and respect. Id like to represent the North Central Ward and that means listening to everyone who lives here. I have learned that there are residents in the ward that, through research or academia, have become experts in areas of vital importance to decisions made in local government and I want to make sure they are engaged and heard on any topic, from glysophate to town planning, arts and culture to sports and recreation. I am available to listen to your concerns or ideas by message through my page or through my email address, [email protected]. I am going to be available in the ward this Saturday 21st morning from 10 11 at Edgewater Pizzaria and about 11.15 12.15 at Ryan John Coffee and Kitchen. This is something I plan to initiate at least once a month if elected so anyone can come and have a chat about what matters. Feel free to message me if you will be able to come down! See more
