21.01.2022 Another load of Australian White Beech. This precious wood is positively 'greasy' to the touch which contributes to its natural durability but also makes it challenging to glue. I key all the glue surfaces with a tool I made from an old hand saw. Then it's a thorough scrub with acetone and thickened epoxy for the glue. 14.01.2022 Steam bending the arch. I chose a straight grained, utterly flawless board and resawed it into 1 inch thick laminas.
