24.01.2022 Work in progress..... The bare bones of a ring in creation. Not much to look at, yet. 23.01.2022 I was challenged today to post a B&W photo to celebrate women. Checking out what it is about I found that originally this IG project was about femicide, in particular in Turkey, #auturkishculturalclub Turkey is now a non-secular patriarchy, where last year in 2019, 430 women were murdered. To date the count is 285 deaths this year.... Recently a young woman was murdered by her boyfriend, he tried to burn the corpse, failed at this, threw the corpse in a bin and poured concrete in the bin. Female demonstrators recently protesting violence against women in Turkey have been detained, beaten and abused whilst in police custody. Femicide is here now, not just Turkey, and our Black & White photos whilst it may have devolved to celebrate Feminism, in reality, is protesting those who continue to belittle, brutalise & murder females. Google - we will stop femicide and read it all for yourself. 06.01.2022 Hands Up - Who Else is an Over Thinker?? You know you're a Over Thinker when your brain is see-sawing between fight and flight (or in my case - hunker down and hide or keep working) and randomly dumb thoughts like this flit through your brain, that on sane reflection are hilarious! Yesterday Melbourne Vic was advised of the news that at 6pm last night we are in Stage 4 lock down with a 8pm to 5am curfew each night, no travel outside a 5km radius etc etc etc... My initial thoughts were - WTF!! After the initial shock, dumb thoughts like those kept flitting through my brain.... It's shock. 04.01.2022 This has been never more important. I do what makes my soul shine (go to the next photo) even though lock down has made this hard. Melbourne Stage 4 Lockdown was extended at least one more week, and Stage 3 still means I am not able to open the shop until at least late October. The upside is that it gives me more time to plan Christmas 2020 and then map out next year as a whole, concentrate on more designs and (yikes) continue to stream line the back office & processes....
