I am a registered nurse and have worked everywhere from ICU to eye surgery and dermatology. BUT......The desire for a creative outlet combined with a devotion to the beauty industry led me to lashing and I haven’t looked back. I opened The Lash and Brow Suite last year with the support of my brilliant husband. Honestly, he is THE most supportive person. If I told him I wanted to move to the country and start a llama farm he’d be onboard! Right now I’m specialising in classic extensions, lifts and tints, however volume lashes are not far away! 24.01.2022 What do I need to do after my lash lift? The beauty of a lash lift is that there’s really not much you need to do! For the first 48 hours after treatment avoid exposing your lashes to steam, oily skincare products/makeup removers and try not to sleep in a position that will smush them out of shape against the pillow. I tinted my lashes and brows a few weeks ago so there’s still some residual colour there but my lashes are definitely longer and brows are fuller. 11.01.2022 When working with client’s faces and eye areas, it’s incredibly important to maintain strict hygiene standards. This is how I clean my tools between each and every client. 1. Scrub in hot soapy water 2. Rinse 3. Soak in hospital grade disinfectant for recommended time... 4. Rinse & air dry 5. Wipe with alcohol wipe 6. Store in plastic container until needed 7. Wipe with alcohol wipe again just prior to commencing service This was my process pre COVID-19 and it will remain my process post COVID-19. 01.01.2022 I am so excited to confirm that the Queensland Government has officially given the go ahead for Beauty Salons to reopen - under strict conditions of course. I will shortly be reopening my online booking system with appointments available from May 21st. In the meantime I will be working to: Strip the salon back to the bare minimum to enable a thorough clean between clients.
