12.01.2022 What a great start to the New Year. Square Circle is delighted to announce the signing of our MOU with Dignity Pasifik. Founded by Ruth Maetala, Dignity Pasifik is an indigenous Solomon Islands research and community development organisation that is led by Solomon Islands' women and whose clients include the Solomon Islands Government, The World Bank, UNDP and UN Women. Dignity Pasifik and Square Circle share the same values around sustainable development and social inclusio...n. This MOU strengthens our common ambition to create impact in ways that honour and support peoples in their development aspirations. Square Circle's partnership with Dignity Pasifik builds on our existing collaborations in Solomon Islands, which include support for participative governance in the extractive sector and our ongoing project around improving livelihoods w the Bushmen Farming Network.

09.01.2022 Square Circle Global Development is pleased to announce the signing of an MOU with i2i Development Global. i2i Global is Australia’s indigenous leader in the international development sector as well as indigenous affairs policy development and indigenous business in Australia. Square Circle works actively with indigenous peoples in our countries of operation. Square Circle and i2i Global wholeheartedly believe that indigenous knowledges, cosmologies and conceptions of development are a foundational pillar of sustainable and inclusive development. We look forward to collaborating with and learning from i2i Global to support the development aspirations of the communities with whom we work.

Square Circle has been engaged by Transparency International's Accountable Mining Programme to conduct a study on the current and future impacts of COVID-19 on the awarding of mining permits, licences and contracts. 03.01.2022 As we come to the end of 2020, Square Circle continues to grow. We would like to share our excitement as we move into our new space at 200 Mary Street in Brisbane. We still have some boxes to unpack, but the coffee machine is fully operational! Our new space enhances our capacity to collaborate with partners in our research, advisory and learning programs.
