25.01.2022 Ashleigh and Elliot. Sometimes I don't get to see the face behind the emails. I create a wedding cake for a couple without ever having met them. Their cake is delivered and i walk away with nothing but the hope that they love the final result and it's on to the next cake. Such a fast moving beast this business is. I got to meet Ashleigh the other day when she ordered her husband a birthday cake, two years after their wedding. One of the sweetest humans i've met. Conversation was so easy and slowed. It was a beautiful break in my day where i'm usually so focussed on getting to my next destination. Some people just have beautiful souls and Ashleigh is definitely that person. 23.01.2022 Not complaining at all. So very grateful that we get to focus on smaller celebration cakes and other desserts. We're having so much fun with the variety and the chance to push ourselves creatively. But I do really miss wedding cakes when I see pictures like this pop up on my reminders. Really thinking of all the couples who have had to postpone or rethink their wedding date. I hope that some way or another the change has been a blessing in disguise or at the very least it's given you more time and perspective to plan your big day.

Trends can come and go but everyone is unique and I want to create something that is true to my clients. 19.01.2022 6 inch vanilla bean and raspberry coulis. This has hands down become my favorite flavour. The light and fluffy Italian meringue buttercream coupled with the tangy sticky, raspberry coulis that bleeds into the vanilla cake, is a match made in heaven. We are doing Friday deliveries now. It's the perfect day to have a treat delivered to someone's workplace, or to celebrate a big week with your team. Friday delivery also works well for a cake that is needed for an event over the weekend. No need to sit around anxious if your cake will arrive in time on a Saturday. Friday ticks all the boxes.
