01.01.2022 *****QUEENSLAND IS GOOD TO GO !!! ***** South East Queensland has a subtropical climate and is warm year-round. Winter offers beautiful, clear days and cooler... nights, while the summer heat is perfect for spending entire days in the water. The shoulder seasons, April to May and October to November, will be quieter but warmer, and pleasant for spending long days on the beach. The warmer months of December to March are more humid and can bring tropical showers and storms. See migrating whales from June to November. With plenty of sunshine and warm seas year-round, the Whitsundays and the islands of North Queensland are hard to beat. The tropical climate follows two distinct seasons. The dry season, from April to October, features mild to warm daytime temperatures and cooler nights, making it a popular time to visit. The green season is from November to March when it’s hotter with higher humidity. There isn’t really a bad time to visit the Southern Great Barrier Reef. The area enjoys a subtropical climate year-round. The winter months of June to August are mild and dry whereas the summer months are hot and humid. This makes it perfect for spending days on or below the water. Tropical North Queensland is blessed with a year-round tropical climate. From April to October, days are warm and dry with low humidity, so it’s perfect if looking to escape the southern winter. It’s a great time of year to take advantage of the area’s attractions, especially the reef, since the risk of stingers is minimal. To see flowing waterfalls and full-to-the-brim lakes, plan your holiday from November to March. Humidity is higher, crowds are lower but the action is still in full swing.
