22.01.2022 It gives me great pleasure & humility to announce our newest initiative for 2021. It is the fans that make our industry without them we simply don’t exist. They come to our gigs, buy our music, our merch & support us with undying loyalty.... The time has come to give back! Who steps up when our fans hit hard times or worse with serious illness? We should because we are in the privileged position to make a difference. It’s time to give back! Bands For Fans was born. An initiative open to all artists who may have that one fan who might be doing it tough. We launch next week with a fan who is gravely ill with cancer. We have some amazing Melbourne artists to help kick off the Bands For Fans initiative with much needed support & fundraising. 07.01.2022 http://www.bandsforfans.com/ We are totally excited to announce our first BFF campaign. We need your attention for a couple of minutes so we can explain who we are and what we do.... Bands For Fans is a volunteer initiative where we the bands/musicians/artists community give back to our fans who are in need. Why BANDS FOR FANS? It is the FANS that make our industry without them we simply don’t exist. They come to our gigs, buy our music, our merchandise & support us with undying loyalty. We saw the need that our amazing fans needed a helping hand. So we felt the time has come to give back! 100% of profits pledged will go towards helping our fans. Every Artist, Recording Studio, Marketing Team and Third Party Person/s involved in the making of this album have donated 100% of their time. All resources and items mentioned in the pledge list on the website have been fully donated by the artists (see below) to be resold for the purpose of helping Kim. True fans who become good friends become part of our family. OUR CAMPAIGN - DOING IT FOR KIM http://www.bandsforfans.com/ Kim is not just a fan of our music collectively, she is our friend. True fans that become good friends become part of our family. Kim comes to all our shows, has bought all our merchandise, and promotes what we do as if she is part of our bands/musical projects. Although all of us involved in this come from varying musical and social circles, we are united in this project to support the one thing we all have in common; the fact Kim is a fan of all our music. Basically.. Kim is sick. REALLY SICK. Cancer has struck her down, and we are creating this album to help raise much needed funds to ensure she gets the treatment to beat this disease which has claimed so many. Kim is also a single mum of a young teenage boy. Sadly, Kim’s treatment is not covered under the PBS (Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme). Each course of treatment is $3000! She has been informed that she will need at least 3 courses of the treatment. Kim has no supportive immediate family, and her main network is her musical community. During her diagnosis, she has not been able to work, and the bills are piling high, and her life savings have all but diminished.
