23.01.2022 **A message from our Commissioner Paul Baxter** Today Fire and Rescue NSW pay tribute to all who have bravely served to protect our country. We have a close re...lationship with the armed forces, with many of our firefighters joining to serve the community after serving their country. This year we couldn’t attend services; so we join together in remembrance, as we stay apart. Lest we forget.

20.01.2022 Don’t be a statistic! A fire can take hold in 3 minutes, it only takes seconds to prevent one. Frayed or damaged cords can start a fire. If you have taken your electric blankets out from storage, check that your electric blanket is in good working order before use.... 19.01.2022 Would you like to make a difference in our community?

19.01.2022 COVID - 19 Fire and Rescue NSW Operations To ensure that Fire and Rescue NSW maintains the highest levels of readiness during the COVID-19 health emergency, sev...eral operational changes have been introduced. These changes are designed to safeguard firefighters and employees to enable them to continue to deliver fire and emergency services to the public Changes: Cancellation of all non-essential community engagements, such as school visits and safety checks. In the meantime, there is plenty information available online about fire safety and what you can do to stay fire safe at www.fire.nsw.gov.au/firesafety Please avoid visiting fire stations unless absolutely necessary. If you visit a fire station for any non-life threatening issues we are not going to be able to let you in You may notice fire trucks at emergencies with fire fighters sitting inside. We are minimising unnecessary firefighter contact with the community Enhanced hygiene measures have been implemented at all fire stations and workplaces with staff continuously cleaning and decontaminating our trucks, uniforms, buildings and equipment to ensure that firefighters and our community are protected. During this time the safety of the community and of our employees remains our top priority. We are working closely with all levels of Government to deliver the best possible services. For more information on COVID-19 visit the NSW Health website below: https://www.health.nsw.gov.au//dise/Pages/coronavirus.aspx #FRNSW #COVID19 #PreparedForAnything #MoreThanFire #ProtectTheIrreplaceable Please assist us in keeping the community safe Report fires and emergencies to Triple Zero (000) #covid-19

17.01.2022 June is National Burns Awareness Month. Last year in NSW more than 3000 people suffered burns injuries with almost 50% of these caused by scalds. Prevent burns and scalds by keeping hot liquids out of reach where they cannot be grabbed or spilled. For more information on National Burns Awareness Month, head over to Kidsafe Australia. #PreparedForAnything #ProtectTheIrreplaceable #HelpUsHelpYou

01.01.2022 "I will never understand a Firefighter that refuses to take on the "Emergency Medical Response (First Responder)" role. It is the Firefighter's role to save... lives then property, not just to put out fires. To maintain the chain-of-survival. Fire Brigades today are Emergency Rescue Services, not just Fire Services.."
