20.01.2022 A message from our Principal I hope you all have a safe and happy holiday. I look forward to continuing my role as relieving principal at Henty Public School in Term 4. School resumes for all staff and students on Monday 12 October. COVID 19 restrictions for term 4 have been eased slightly. Whilst we are still not able to have additional adults on site during school hours, Gala, kinder transition, a surprise whole school excursion, Year 5/6 camp and Year 6 graduation dinner are all planned to be going ahead. 08.01.2022 We have a new athletics record holder! In the 8 year girls 100m sprint Courtney recorded a new record time 00.18.06. Congratulations Court. All certificates were handed out to students today. We will share more results with our community over the next few days.

08.01.2022 Year 6 had the opportunity to meet Scott Reardon a Paralympian for Australia in a virtual video today. He has won 4 gold medals for the 100m sprint. He talked a lot about how important mindfulness is and being present in the moment, the importance of a healthy mind and body, what food we should eat and how often, why he enjoys sport and how it brings people together as well as how to deal with negative comments. It was such a great session and the kids had lots of questions. Two favourite quotes from the session were If I can beat myself I am a winner and I wish the world would be as one!

08.01.2022 The final count has taken place.... we are so thrilled to announce that our Walkathon has raised just over $2500 for our school vegetable and herb garden! A massive thank you to everyone who sponsored this event. We have been blown away with support. Please see details below about a special meeting to get the ideas, plans and garden upgrade started.

06.01.2022 Congratulations to all participants in the HPS tennis tournament. Our finalist are: 3/4 Girls Ava vs Evie 3/4 Boys Zeb vs Zane 5/6 Girls Khyla vs Mia 5/6 Boys Odin vs Ryan ... 5/6 finals will be played today and 3/4 finals on Thursday. Goodluck

05.01.2022 Welcome back! I hope you have all had a fantastic holiday and are refreshed for a terrific 2021. The school office will be open from Wednesday 27th January from 8.50am. If you are needing to purchase uniforms or enrol children please phone the office on 6929 3184 and make a time.... Students in Years 1 to 6 start back on Friday 29th January and need to wear their sports uniform. Remember school now starts at 9.20am and finishes at 3.05pm. Kindergarten students will come to their Best Start appointment via the office. With all Kindergarten students starting on Tuesday, 2nd February. COVID regulations have been updated, however parents are required to drop their students (Year 1 to 6) at the front gate, staff will be there to greet them. Parents who have phoned ahead and need to come on site will need to use the QR code which will be displayed at the school. Please ensure that you have the Service NSW app downloaded on your phone.
