25.01.2022 Today I consciously scheduled some balance and joy into my life. I went out hiking with the wonderful Karina from Never Enough Adventures... We hiked 11km in Deep Creek Conservation Park. 4.5hrs at a nice comfortable pace. It rained. I was convinced my #Kathmandu waterproof jacket was leaking ( which is wasnt ). And it was awesome We hiked Up and down hills. Experienced amazing views of Kangaroo Island and our beautiful coastline. Thanks NEA for arranging this day hike. I highly recommend Now home. Cold. 24.01.2022 All my beautiful clients know I am a huge advocate for walking. And how I love to share the positive effect it can have on our overall well-being. I try to practice what I preach and know the difference when walking isnt in my routine. I love to trek. I love the Himalayas. Its totally amazing. I have trekked Sandakphu. And aim to Trek Annapurna Base camp later this year. This gives me total joy and I believe good health. But you dont have to travel far to walk in nature.... We are so lucky to have such beautiful walking spaces so close to us here in SA. So with the busy season now over maybe we can all try and integrate walking in nature into our self care weekly practise. At this stage, I am not opening in the short term and will reassess the situation in 2 weeks. I hope to open before the end of next month.... 21.01.2022 As I sit drinking Chai waiting to see my last client for 2019, I reflect back on what I achieved both professionally and personally this year. And what a year it has been! I built my Health Clinic,within my other business Wildfire Organic Tea. ... It is a calm and safe environment for both myself and my clients. And I absolutely love it. And with the air conditioner hopefully going in next week it will make it even more inviting. I modelled the Clinics out side design from my trips in India this year. While I was in Darjeeling and Sikkim, I would sit in the back of share cabs and daydream of what colours to paint so I could bring the colours of India home with me. But I also came back with such passion after I volunteered in Udaipur Jagran Jan Vikas Samiti earlier in the year. It is here that I learnt the power of using combined modalities like used in Ayurvedic Medicine and used by Traditional Healers, known as Gunis with whom I spent time with. It is this lived experience that made me appreciate what I could offer to my clients and bring to my Health Clinic. It was here that I also met my now close friends other Naturopaths and Herbalists in which I deeply treasure their friendship. With this group of women I know I will always have their support, as what we experienced together in India can never be undone. It was the most magical experience.And for gaining their friendship this year I am so grateful. Through the development of my Health Clinic I have had the privilege to work with the most amazing people on their Health Pathways. And honestly I have the best clients. Their trust in my abilities, I will alway be humbled by. I am so proud what you have achieved this year. I can hand on heart say I love every moment of working with you all and cant thankyou enough for the support and trust you have shown me this year. I feel like I owe each person who trusts me with their health to keep them as well as I possibly can. As a responsible health care professional, I am monitoring the COVID-19 situation daily and am following the directions of the World Health Organisation, Federal and State Ministers and Chief Medical Officers.... And following my own common sense. I am lucky enough to have great relationships with my current clients and feel confident to ask that if you are currently showing any symptoms of flu such as: Respiratory symptoms Sore throat Cough Fever I ask that you reschedule your Remedial Massage after symptoms have stopped or change your Herbal Medicine Consultation to an over the phone consultation. Really, this is no different from what I ask from you usually if you are showing flu symptoms. And I know many lovely clients that do this for me especially in the winter months. Note my NEW client intake procedure has currently changed. If you are a NEW client, please be aware after booking your consultation you will be vetted about: Your recent travel itinerary including overseas and interstate travel Your current immune health If you are displaying any active signs of flu like symptoms as per mentioned above I will contact you directly after you make your booking online.
