24.01.2022 Anyone who grew up in the north of England will be familiar with Blackpool a seaside resort town on the Lancashire coast. This northern tourist hot spot is known for Blackpool Pleasure Beach, its landmark the Blackpool Tower and the Blackpool Illuminations an annual light show along the promenade.

22.01.2022 90 minutes’ drive southwest of Brisbane is Lake Moogerah Caravan Park the perfect spot to explore the Scenic Rim region.

18.01.2022 After ticking off quite a few historic houses in Sydney, it was time to tackle Brisbane. I feel like I was a totally different person when I last lived here in 2013 as I didn't have as much interest in exploring them then. Now, however, I have a list! First up is Historic Ormiston House the birthplace of the Australian commercial sugar industry.

16.01.2022 Can’t resist a lighthouse walk! Happy Birthday @carole_mummabear @ Cleveland Point Light

16.01.2022 Just 90 minutes from Brisbane, Southern Queensland Country - SQC is a cosy region offering crisp country air and oodles of charm. Known for its distinct seasons, June-September is a gorgeous time of year to visit as you can embrace the cold snap hard to come by in Queensland! Think of your favourite jumper and a log fire burning, while enjoying a hearty meal and a glass of wine. Bliss.

15.01.2022 "Step off the streets of Brisbane and experience a little piece of Paris." High Tea for 3 at Belle Époque lovely venue and one of the tastiest I've ever had!

13.01.2022 Chilly day in York last week but I particularly enjoyed wandering The Shambles - the inspiration for Diagon Alley @ York

11.01.2022 As one of Moreton Bay’s most secluded and compact sand-fringed islands, Coochie is the perfect little day trip to soak up some sun and enjoy a swim.

08.01.2022 Coming into November, I thought we were done with any more UK trips this year but lucky for us, we were invited along on a glamping trip to Wales. Obviously, we said yes and I was counting down the days for fresh country air!

06.01.2022 About a month overdue but I've slowly been adding to this 2019 Year in Review post for the past 2 months! Probably not very interesting to most people but it serves as a good memory for me. If you do want to read this, it's a long one so grab a cup of tea

03.01.2022 It feels super strange to spend Easter weekend at home this year but I can’t complain about binging Netflix Throwback to free-er Easter times 2019 in London, 2018 in Watsons Bay, 2017 in Bali and 2016 in Kangaroo Valley. 03.01.2022 With an anniversary to celebrate and a crisp autumn day ahead, it was the perfect day to explore Chester. It’s an extremely walk-friendly city we did almost 22,000 steps in five hours! During that time, we managed to do these 10 things...

02.01.2022 Took a while (2 months...) to share this post, but travel motivation is back! Back in May, I went to Redcliffe for a bit of winter sun, sea and sand. Just 25kms north of Brisbane, this historic seaside village is the perfect coastal escape when you need a little fresh air and beach scenery. And bonus it’s the home of The Bee Gees.

02.01.2022 Another fresh autumn day, another beautiful city to explore. York has been on my UK bucket list all year so with 2019 fast coming to an end, I booked a day trip there on an I have to go! whim.

02.01.2022 A quiet birthday at home is pretty great ~ Video chats, a high tea delivery to celebrate Mother's Day, gin, new books and enjoying all the little things ~

02.01.2022 First day trip out in a few months so stayed fairly local and headed to the historic seaside town of Redcliffe. With sleepy beaches, an iconic jetty, Bee Gees Way, and great fish & chips, it's a handy coastal escape on Brisbane's doorstep.
