25.01.2022 Another good day clearing near the river bank at Heritage Horse Park. Before & after!

25.01.2022 Here's some photos from a job finished a little while ago. It's the office and facilities for Heritage Horse Park in Windsor. A ground up, new building and are...na lighting. It consists of kitchen, office, bathroom and laundry area. Plus stables, storage, teaching room, and wash down area for the horses. The supply authorities decided they couldn't have a second supply to the property, so we ran a submain underground for 180m to get power. A lot of hard work to come up with a great finish. Thanks to Lyn Lynch for the opportunity to work on this project.

25.01.2022 A little shed has arrived at HHP. Here is the story behind it. The Tennis Shed on the Dressage Arena Originally know as the Tennis Shed as it was located beside the tennis court at our family home in Kellyville. Backing onto the Castle Hill Country Club provided a lovely backdrop for the shed. The property belonged to my parents Val & Tony Ryan and my dad built the shed around 1985, complete with its own outhouse. He based his design on an old railway station and decorated... it with the old tools and implements that he had collected along the way. The tennis shed provided Dad with much joy, from hosting local tennis lessons and comps to entertaining business partners and friends. The proceeds from the hire of the court went to sponsoring Clyde a horse at the local Riding for the Disabled at Tall Timbers Kellyville. Dad and his dog Trotsky spent many hours fundraising for the RDA with their collection bucket. After each event where Trotsky would perform many tricks and collect gold coins for his performances he would then proceed to tear up his donation bucket. Dad would get a new one sign written for each event and Trostsky would tear it to bits at the end. We worked out towards the end that Trotsky had collected over $40,000 in donations for RDA during his working life. Not a bad effort for an old cattle dog, after all, he was a working dog. As progress has it, and our place in ‘the hole in the donut’ as it was known ceased to exist we sold the property and I arranged for Dad’s shed to be relocated to my place at Oakville. The Tennis shed became ‘the tennis shed on the dressage arena’. For many years it housed our vaulters’ exercise equipment, gym mats and unitards as well as the first aid box and ice in the freezer for when ‘those’ incidents occurred. For the past two years since we sold at Oakville the shed has been in waiting for it’s new home. Today that new resting place became a reality. As I sit here looking at this little shed and pondering what it could be; a school house, a church, an outhouse. But no, it has been and now always will be the tennis shed on the dressage arena. Now starts the process; I already have a DA approval but still need a construction certificate which from experience will take some time, then to put in a slab and move the shed on to it and then get the verandah put back on. Then we can proceed with setting up the old shed with some of it’s original memorabilia in its new home at Heritage Horse Park.
