24.01.2022 Thanks ladies for a wonderful afternoon. 60 local ladies came together to celebrate International Women's Day. A lovely lunch and thanks to the organisers. Lisa Scomazzon for your great speach. Staff for their awesome effort. A huge congrats to Di Price on her award.

24.01.2022 This is now closed due to an overwhelming response. Good Morning. On Friday 10th January Heritage Lodge.... in the daintree is Having an Italian Night ... Menu still to be decided. Only $20.00 per head Friday for the Fires All profits will be donated to our countrymen involved in the devastating fires down south. We are also offering 50% of our accommodation to be donated. My staff have generously donated their time & services to make this an exciting and wonderful evening Everyone in the community is invited. Although booking will be essential. I would like to put a challenge out there for as many business's in the Douglas Shire to share in our Friday for the Fires. It would be wonderful if any other business were in a position to join in the effort. We know how to come together in times of need when we are under Flood or Cyclone conditions. Lets dig deep and help our friends and families down south Friday for the Fires. Looking forward to hearing of everyone's ideas and watching this unfold.

They are normally perched on outcrops, flowing arms like fern branches in the w...ater column, grabbing bits of plankton passing by. Watch closely and see this little beauty put those arms to good use to avoid being thrown around by the current. See more

20.01.2022 It's turtle Tuesday! Our favorite day of the week!! Check this little beauty out, having the time of it's life enjoying the veritable smorgasbord the reef offers! As he munches away you can see just how easily it could mistake plastic for some of their favorite food! (don't worry this was not plastic!!) Plastic is huge problem for all marine life and we are the ones who can stem the flow. Refuse , Reduce , Reuse , Recycle Thanks for sharing, Ocean Safari.

07.01.2022 Heritage Lodge is taking steps to close down. "On the turps" restaurant will close at 12 today and we are in the process of canceling accommodation bookings that we have. Unfortunately operating costs would far out weigh the bookings we have in the system. We want to thank everyone for their support, wish everyone to stay safe both physically and mentally during this awful time. Let's hope we get on top of it sooner rather than later. Hopefully we will be in full swing again next season. Wishing everyone in the Daintree and surrounds the very best.
