25.01.2022 All, If you have had to do this for work and are happy to help, or would like to take on this role to help at your club, please complete the training and bring a copy of your certificate to the club and give to Graeme or Bobbi We need these Covid Marshals to operate and continue to allow us enjoy being, eating and drinking at the club.... The alternative is not a favourable option. See more

25.01.2022 Good Morning Everyone Tonight we host the crippled crows in a Friday Night Lights extravaganza. The match will kick off at 6:30pm and will be played in good spirits with an eye to the celebarations after the match. The committee requires the help of our members to ensure the night runs smoothly... Ground Marshall - to ensure covid restrictions are being observed. All patrons must be seated to eat and drink. Wait staff - collecting plates and glasses and wiping the table down Kitchen Hand - assisting the president in a schnitzel cook off the likes of which hasnt been seen before Pitch Dressings - someone to put out the basic pitch markings for the ground and collect at the end of the day. Please comment below what role you all can help with noting we probably need 2-3 wait staff and a couple of Marshalls. Your help would be greatly appreciated in making tonight as smooth as possible. If you have the bye tomorrow, come down for a bite to eat and if you could volunteer a bit of time it would be amazing Kind Regards Graeme Gibson El Presidente

21.01.2022 Appreciation post Season 2020 from Secretary Bobbi: With season 2020 officially finishing up yesterday with the RUSA junior regionals being held at our club, I personally wanted to send a huge thank you to all the people whom we had Volunteer this year. Whilst we had too many to individually mention, I would like to thank the following people who spent more than 25 hours of their week (an average of 1 -2 days and sometimes more for the 5 months of rugby this year- think about... that = 210 + hours) at or doing stuff for our great club: Graeme Gibson, Greg Devine Tony Jarrett (yabby) Amanda Potter Stephanie Chapman Craig Basford Paul Smith Peter Brown YOU ARE EXTRAORDINARY PEOPLE WHO WE WOULD BE LOST WITHOUT! With these people giving so much of their week and leading from the front, our club was seen as the best club in SA. Next year though, we need for ALL our members to do even a couple of hours for the season so these same people can stop on a game day and watch their kids play, have a sleep in, or leave early instead of 8pm most nights. To our canteen staff, bar staff, coaches, team managers, first aiders, photographers, covid and ground marshalls, committee members - senior and juniors - We thank you and appreciate all you have done, we couldn't have run without you! And a huge heartfelt thank you from me. Club secretary, Bobbi

21.01.2022 Hey Team - We are having an end or year working bee. Aside from a general tidy up, the main goal is to cleanout the shed and stocktake what we've got. That way Stefan and our coaches can get the xmas list together for some brand new equipment, ready for the new season. We are starting at 10am Saturday 19/12. Lets all get down there make sure we are ready to hit 2021 with a bang! Cheers... Craig

18.01.2022 COVID marshalls will be around the club today, reminding supporters to sit whilst drinking alcohol and /or eating plated meals. (canteen food okay - As confirmed by President Graeme from SA Health Covid Line). to make life easier, if you are planning on watching from the grassed area, please bring a chair. Sitting in cars is okay, as is sitting on or in the rear of a car/ute.... A friendly, but important reminder -the only alcohol to be consume on site is what you can buy from the bar on site. (We can loose our Liquor Licence if people bring alcohol in & it is reported). We need to respect the Covid Marshalls & help them do their job. This can be made easier by abiding by the SA Health COVID Rules - social distancing, washing hands regularly/hand sanitising regularly, sitting whilst eating plated meals/drinking alcohol. Without these Covid Marshalls, we will have to close the kitchen & close the bar. Help make their job easier by doing the right things. Thank you to those who are there to allow us to continue to enjoy our sport. Elizabeth Rugby Union Football Club

14.01.2022 We are extremely proud to let you all know that our very own Graeme Gibson was nominated and won the City of Charles Sturt citizen of the year. Our president for 6 years which included 2 of the most turbulent years in the clubs history. He was at the helm as the club went through the clubroom demolition and rebuild, a whole year of no home games or facilities. Then with that navigated we all got hit with COVID and all the constant changes that came with that. The amount of work was tremendous and this is before we talk about all the things that were needed behind the scenes. The club is in such a strong position and we will be forever grateful for Graemes work and will work even harder to honour and build on that legacy. Well done, Gibbo. From all of us at Woodville Rugby.
