20.01.2022 Every year since McKenzie’s first home opened in 2000, Mary-Ann McKenzie along with family members and friends help decorate most of our McKenzie Christmas trees. This years festive season looks a little different around our homes. Due to travel restrictions, Mary-Ann and daughter, Casey could only continue on the tradition for our 6 Victorian homes. Our Queensland and New South Wales homes would not miss out completely though. They were given the ‘secret manual’ on how to de...corate their trees the McKenzie way, which as you can see from the photos below, is pretty amazing. Mary-Ann says "Christmas time is my favourite time of the year, and I really enjoy being able to spread the Christmas cheer in our homes". We hope to see the ‘McKenzie Elves’ back in our homes next year, continuing on this special family tradition.

10.01.2022 Our community elders have seen many things throughout their lives, it is a privilege when they share these memories and stories with us. On today, Remembrance Day 2020, Rosebrook resident Isabel wanted to share with us her time in the Women's Auxiliary Air Force (W.A.A.F).

10.01.2022 After a year that has challenged everyone, we think that this Balance Sheet of Life can help us to realign some of our thoughts, feelings and actions.

06.01.2022 To all our friends and followers, we wish you and your families a very Merry Christmas and a New Year that brings health, happiness and togetherness. Thank you for your support during 2020. The encouragement and positive feedback we have received from many of our followers has been greatly appreciated. We look forward to sharing many more photos and videos with you in 2021!

04.01.2022 LEST WE FORGET - REMEMBRANCE DAY 11.11.2020 At 11am on 11 November 1918 the guns on the Western Front fell silent after more than four years of continuous warfare. The moment when hostilities ceased on the Western Front became universally associated with the remembrance of those who had died in the war. This conflict had brought about the mobilisation of over 70 million people and left between 9 and 13 million dead, perhaps as many as one-third of them with no known grave. A...t the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month, all McKenzie Aged Care homes and offices will observe one minute’s silence, in memory of those who served and continue to serve protecting our country. They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old; Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning We will remember them. Lest we forget.
