23.01.2022 Engine freshen and then running at Sandown

16.01.2022 Here are some pics from the post Tailem engine freshen and Sandown.

14.01.2022 It was a busy time after Tailem Bend and before the recent Sandown Historic meeting. The engine came out for a full tear down and freshen while everything else that ate too much South Aussie dust also had a going over. The rebuilt engine was incrementally improved in several areas, given a good tune up on the dyno - and came away very healthy. A bit more power and great torque at a useful rev range. Lots of work went into fitting a new exhaust system when re-installed into th...e car. Results at Sandown were OK. Having to rebuild the front brake callipers instead of racing on Sunday morning was not in the plan, but the 13 lapper on Sunday afternoon was great fun. Big shout out to my mate Warwick, brothers Peter and Geoff - and Goat Bloke - who all helped make it happen. The Taylor/Kennedy Group C VH SS Commodore is pretty close to sorted now and will be out to play again in 2019. See more
