18.01.2022 JUNIOR AND MIXED SEASON 2020/2021 The planning to start our Mixed and Junior competitions, in accordance with the Covid-safe Return to Play Regulations is underway. The committee is working behind the scenes and looking at numerous options to make sure we can start our Mixed and Junior seasons early in term 4. (October 2020). With the large number of Junior participants, our existing Covid Safe Plan may require some changes to be able to start the Junior competition. To get t...he junior competition started, to keep it running and to maintain compliance with our Covid safe plan we will also need a large number of volunteers to assist each Tuesday afternoon. These volunteers are in addition to the coaches and referees that are also required for the junior competition. All volunteers, referees and coaches are required to complete Covid Safe training. The training is free and done online in around 15 minutes. A big thank you to our committee members and volunteers for getting us back on the field and playing under these new conditions and regulations and also to our touch players and spectators for doing the right thing and adapting to the changes To keep us on the field it is very important that everyone remains vigilant and continues to follow the rules set out in our Covid Safe - Re...turn to Play Plan. This includes checking in and out either with the EVA Check in App or the manual register, following directions from our volunteers on the night, practicing good hygiene and only entering and exiting the fields via the gates at the northern of the car park and not through the club house. It was great to have everyone back for junior touch last Tuesday.. even better we now have all 3 - seniors,juniors and mixed back. Couple of things to remember: 1. 04.01.2022 Touch Dates for 2021 - As 2020 draws to a close, we are happy to announce that we will be returning to play all 3 competitions in 2021. We will continue to use our Covid-safe plan to ensure we can continue to play. It has been a long unpredictable year for all sports and the Hervey Bay Touch Committee would like to thank all our Touch Families, referees and Sponsors for their support! Senior Mens and Ladies Competition will begin a new season in 2021 on Monday 1st February, 2021. Team Nominations will open in early 2021. Junior Competition 2020/2021 will resume on Tuesday 2nd February, 2021. Mixed Competition 2020/2021 will resume on Wednesday 3rd February, 2021.

03.01.2022 HI Everyone We would love to be able to get our mixed season up and running next month but we can't without help. At our last meeting it was decided that if you are thinking of entering a mixed team or returning from last season ,each team will be required to provide at least one volunteer to assist. You will not be required every week and it may only be for an hour . WE will be rostering teams on to assist. Also if more than one team member completes training YOU may be onl...y required to do duty once in the whole season.We need all teams to let us know if you are returning and to provide us with at least one completed COvid course certificate . 01.01.2022 Expression of Interest for Junior Players for the Bundaberg Cup 2021 The Hervey Bay Touch Committee are asking for Expression of Interests for any Junior Players that may wish to take part in the Bundaberg Cup in 2021. The Tournament will run over 2 days on Sat 6th Feb and Sun 7th Feb, 2021. The age divisions for this tournament start from the Under 12s, so anyone playing in our U8s or U10s on a Tuesday Afternoon will not be eligible to play. This is an Expression of Interest... only, this does not guarantee your child has made a team. It will depend on if we have enough coaches and managers for each age group. If we can not get a coach for each of the age divisions we may not send that age group up. There are a few requirements that Hervey Bay Touch have implemented for your child/children to be eligible: * Your child MUST be registered on Mysideline and Junior Fees MUST have been PAID IN FULL. * Your child MUST be available for both days to play. * It is the parents responsibility to transport their child/children to and from Bundaberg. * Players MUST wear the correct Hervey Bay Touch Rep Uniform during the tournament.
