23.01.2022 Just letting you all know that we are open for business. Just ring Sandy on 0412841090 to let her know that you are coming in, as we a running on a skeleton crew. We are a Council lisenced facility, but are not the tip. We are also a registered business and a lisenced second-hand trader. So the next time you have an old battery, dont just give it away, cash it in to us. As we buy all non ferrous metal (copper, brass, batteries, electrical wire, electric motors, vehicle radiators & cat converters, lead, and stainless steel) but offer a place to dump off ferrous scrap metal free of charge, everyday of the week by appointment. 21.01.2022 Currently Buying all types of Aluminium. Aluminium being - Aluminium Cans, Aluminium Wheels, Aluminium Wire, Aluminium Radiators, Aluminium & Copper Air Conditioners, and general Aluminium scrap. Basically anything made out of aluminium that has no iron in it.

14.01.2022 When selling scrap metal to scrappies, whether it be to me or anyone, you only have to remember that its the Non-Ferrous Metals that are worth the most money. Thats why there is a longer list for Non Ferrous Metals, than that of just Iron, which is a Ferrous (Magnetic) Metal. So in order to remember them, I have outlined an ABC TABLE, which I call the ABCs of Scrap Metal. The easiest way to remember what is a Non Ferrous Metal, is by use of the ABCs. Of which I call the... ABCs of Scrap Metal. A = Aluminium B = Batteries & Brass C = Copper & Catalytic Converters E = Electric Motors & Electric Wire Cable I = Iron (Steel which is a Ferrous Metal) L = Lead R = Radiators (Aluminium & Copper) S = Stainless Steel (There are other precious non ferrous metals like - Nickle, Pewter, Silver, Gold etc. But they more so in line with the jewelry trade, and not metals that a scrap metal dealer is licensed to trade in).

14.01.2022 Currently buying Brass & Gunmetal. So what is Gunmetal one might ask. Well Gunmetal is usually the metal scrappies dont want you to know about. Primarily because it is worth more than brass. Gunmetal is made of copper and brass, which means it is worth more than just brass. So how do you tell. Well you get a grinder or a file and scratch the surface of the metal. If it is a yellow honey color, it is brass. If it is a coppery pink color it is gunmetal. SEE EXAMPLE BELO...W. In the left of the photo is a Brass fitting, as the scratch test shows up yellow. But in the Right of the photo where there are 2 x Gunmetal metal fittings, it shows up pinkish. So without doing the test you wouldnt know and you could be loosing money. For just to look at them they all just look like brass fittings, and of which brass is worth less money to you than Gunmetal. And dont scrappies just love your gift, if you dont know what your metals are. So this is just another lesson on how you can make money too, just by knowing the difference between Brass & Gunmetal. 01.01.2022 I have been asked time & time again What is the difference between Ferrous Metal & Non Ferrous Metal. Well the answer is Ferrous Metal has Iron in it and Non Ferrous doesnt. Ferrous Metal is predominantly all metals that are made out of steel or cast iron. And of which a magnet will stick too. So in scrap metal terms its basically your every day metal, sometimes referred to as general scrap metal. Though there are 2 payment grades Light Gauge Metal & Heavy Me...tal Steel. If a sledge hammer dints it its Light Gauge. If it doesnt Its heavy gauge. With the Heavy Metal grade being the best payment grade. So the thicker it is - the better the pay. [ Ferrous Examples Steel Offcuts, Cars & Trucks, Washing Machines, Dryers, Fridges, Freezers, Hot Water Services, Microwave Ovens, Stoves & Ovens, & Roofing Iron, just to name a few. Basically anything that is made out of Steel. Even food tins etc.] Non Ferrous Metal Is metal that you may have to process more to get a better price. But because of its mineral composition, meaning that its made from a more precious non metallic metal and not made from iron, its already worth more to you.
