13.01.2022 Timekeeping on the roster. Home game: Our timekeeping box is upstairs - stairs through the front of the clubrooms. You are responsible for timing each quarter.... Set the clock to the time stated on the piece of paper for the game you are timing. At the start of each quarter the umpire will hold up the ball to let you know they are ready. You must give the siren a quick blast to let them you are ready. The siren is a switch above you. You also use the siren to alert the umpires and players that the quarter is finished. Make sure you ring the siren at the same time as the clock beeps. You should have someone from the other club with you as well. Away games: Home clubs provide a timekeeper and you sit with them to oversee the correct times and siren ringing.
