20.01.2022 Welcome to the Hidden Lake Alpacas Facebook page. Hidden Lake is an Australian Alpaca stud, that specialises in breeding beautiful black suris. Hidden Lake was established by Steve and Sue Pate, who through commitment and careful selection, developed Hidden Lake into one of Australias most respected black suri studs. Due to health reasons, Steve and Sue had to unfortunately sell Hidden Lake. The new owners of Hidden Lake are Ian and Angela Preuss,Surilana Alpacas), Viv and Romanie Blacker Arachello - Coloured Suri Alpaca) and Trish Robb (Azzura). Together they are committed to continuing in Sue and Steves vision in taking Hidden Lake from strength to strength.

Electric Cabaret now has a beautiful, solid black suri female cria at foot. The cria is sired by Hidden Lake Intrigue and is a real stunner! A terrific mum and daughter package.

04.01.2022 Since taking over the reigns of the Hidden Lake Herd we have been waiting until the new drop were old enough to show. At just 6 months of age, we entered Hidden Lake Livia into the Colourbration Alpaca Show. With over 40 black suris entered, we didnt have big expectations. We were over the moon when she won Reserve Champion Black Suri female and is now to be exported to the UK. She is a very special black suri female and we congratulate her new owners on their purchase. We a...lso entered another 6 month old black suri, Aviana Farms Showman, who is sired by Hidden Lake Merlin. We were blown away when Showman was awarded Champion Black Suri Male at this tender age. This little male has special qualities and has a big fututure ahead of him. Well done Ken Madl of Aviana Farms USA. Not a bad show debut for the new Hidden Lake herd!
