Tell your kids that you will be going on a safari: their goal is to notice as many birds, bugs, creepy-crawlies, and any other animals as they can. Turn it into a friendly competition and see who find the most animals.

17.01.2022 R U OK Day? is Thursday 10 September 2020, which is today. Its our national day of action when we remind Australians that every day is the day to ask, Are you OK? if someone in your world is struggling with lifes ups and downs. 2020 has been a challenging year for everyone and circumstances have made it even more important for us all to stay connected and, for those who are able, be willing to support those around us. R U OKAY want to help Australians with knowing what to... say when someone says theyre not OK and guide them through how they can continue a conversation that could change a life. You dont have to be an expert to keep the conversation going when someone says theyre not OK. By knowing what to say you can help someone feel supported and access appropriate help long before theyre in crisis, which can make a really positive difference to their life. If you would like to find out more information head to: www.ruok.org.au #RUOKDAY

11.01.2022 PARKWOOD GREEN SPOONVILLE! Located outside the Parkwood Green Primary School front office on the Community Hub. Melbournes first lockdown saw teddy bears and rainbows appear in windows, now lockdown 2.0 has another activity for children as communities full of brightly painted wooden spoon characters pop up across the suburbs. ... Originating in the English village of Winnersh, the Spoonville fad has spread across Britain and is finding a toehold in Victoria, where spoon villages are sprouting in parks and nature strips and outside schools. Parkwood Green PS are happy to announce that this week, instead of Specialist classes, we would like all families and students to create a decorated wooden spoon to represent either themselves or a character. We would love it if during your daily walk, you could bring your decorated spoon to school and place it into the garden bed outside the school office. Can Parkwood Green create a new community of Spoony characters? There are rules to follow though, as we are in lockdown and we dont want anybody compromising the safety of themselves or their families, so: 1. Spoons must be placed during your daily exercise or while you are completing a permitted activity. 2. Your spoons should not have anything attached that could come off and create litter (we dont like litter at Parkwood Green!) 3. Spoons dont like dogs, keep Doggo away from the sppons please 4. Come visit the spoons, but dont stay too long, maintain your Social distancing please. 5. Make sure your Spoony person can cope with some rain, Nail Varnish is a good way to protect your spoon against the elements. 6. Legs and arms can be sticks from the garden. This Spoonville is not limited to students who attend Parkwood Green. If you live within 5km and wish to place a spoon in the community Spoonville - go for it! We cannot wait to see our very own Spoonville grow! Spoonville Australia Spoonville International #Spoonville #SpoonvilleInternational
