We can not thank you enough for how wonderful you all were, especially after the freak accident that occurred. We have just received news that our beautiful and amazing daughter has somehow miraculously escaped unscathed but for extensive bruising and pain and unsurprisingly is wanting to come home already! Again, we really knew just what wonderful peo...ple we had at that sale today and were overwhelmed with your immediate support at the time, as well as your incredible messages of care and support this afternoon. As tearful as I am writing this we can not thank you all enough. 23.01.2022 Rarely does a bull come along that ticks all of the boxes. LOT 11 HIGH COUNTRY ILLUSION Homozygous polled (will never give you a horned calf), strong sires head, excellent length and strength of spine, stands on good bone, the perfect underline, mobile and with a high libido and incredibly thick all the way through.... Sired by our lead sire Glen Fosslyn Idol who is incredibly consistent. We have kept a predominance of very typey, soft feminine females with an abundance of skin and lovely square udders. His bulls are always standouts in our draft, polled, long, with tidy underlines and sires presence. We have also retained a sire by him in HC Game on. A bull with a strong sires head and broad muzzle, excellent tropical coat, with plenty of supple skin, but still with a light underline. Very balanced and with a great muscle pattern and incredible softness. At 22 mths, he was 870 kgs, with a 130 EMA, 12/8 fats, 39 scrotal and 76% morphology. Congratulations to the Childs family and everyone involved for what was an outstanding line up of bulls and a very well deserved sale result. 15.01.2022 Results of our 7th Annual On-Property and Online Sale. The winds whipped up outside whilst inside bidding was spirited for the 36 bulls and 20 females on offer. Online bidding was a popular option this year with 77 people logged online to bid and 254 extra people logged online to watch the sale. We saw a 100% clearance for the day with bulls topping at $21,000 and averaging $10,126 and heifers topping at $13,000 and averaging $6,025. 09.01.2022 A gorgeous young Glen Fosslyn Idol heifer from Stephs High Country 'S' stud, who came up to the car while we were checking the paddocks today. Idol has been brilliant, producing soft, feminine heifers with plenty of skin and length. She is out of Fairy Floss, by Oasis Wallace. This female line has been responsible for the show heifers Easter Egg and Hav a Heart as well as Cotton Candy (Nindethana). This little one will definitely be a keeper.

Incredible fleshing, free moving, an excellent sheath, strong sires head and a pleasure to be around. He will head out with the stud cows in the next two weeks.

02.01.2022 The December Droughtmaster Magazine is out, but unfortunately they have made a mistake with our sale wrap up. Our bull average for our sale this year was of course $10,126 with a top of $21,000 as was mentioned in our full page advertisement on the inside front cover. We had the 4th highest average of the 14 sales that were noted for the season.... Our advertisement appears below and next years sale will be on the 21st August 2021.
01.01.2022 Great to hear such wonderful feedback about High Country Freeland. A beautiful temperament and the ability to stamp those heads on every calf, such a hard thing to get a bull to do. Major Droughtmasters have some brilliant bulls going to Roma sale, if you are still chasing a bull, these are definitely worth a look.
