Any enquires about booking in for squad/private lessons, please do no hesitate to contact me via my email at [email protected] Due to the virus, tennis court hire/bookings has been a long and tedious process, hence I am only communicating this update to you all now. I personally thank you for your patience and cooperation through these difficult times. Any queries regarding the new term, please contact me!! Kind regards Mr B.

05.01.2022 COVID-19 UPDATE: LIMITED PLAY Hi All, I hope you have been keeping safe and healthy during these uncertain times.... A quick update which gifts fortunate news about the return of Tennis and what that means for the upcoming weeks. Attached below is a recent statement from Tennis Queensland providing important information regarding the return of Tennis to the club: Dear Members As per Tennis Queensland’s Statement for Limited Play to return in May please find below the required information for Highfields Tennis Club: The club will reopen for one on one coaching with myself from Tuesday 5th of May. The club will reopen for casual court hire (Singles Only) from the 5th of May Please read the Tennis Australia Guidelines before you visit the club Link: https://www.tennis.com.au//COVID-19-Community-Tennis-Guide Some important Tennis Guidelines I would like to highlight are as follows: You must stay at home if you: Have been in contact with someone with COVID-19 in the last 14 days Have been overseas or exposed to someone with COVID-19 in the last 14 days Have flu-like symptoms including fever, sore throat and dry cough Or are in a high-risk health category eg; elderly, respiratory conditions Attending tennis activities: Only people core to playing should attend tennis activities such as players, participants, coaches and operational personnel Arrive and leave as close as possible to when you need to be there Only one parent/guardian should accompany younger children where possible. Social distancing Tennis holds a unique advantage as a sport which requires no direct contact between players. Social Distancing: No handshakes Keep 1.5 metres away from other people while watching or attending an outdoors tennis activity at all times Only a maximum of 6 people will be allowed to use the courts at one time with only 2 people per court No equipment can be borrowed from the club Please get your own water bottles and balls where possible Due to the copious amounts of restrictions, it is essential that all guidelines are met and exceeded in order to successfully maintain the operation of the club. May you require clarification or are wishing to book in for private coaching, please do not hesitate to contact me on 0402 330 540, via email [email protected] or through the Facebook page. Your resilience through these testing times have been noted and appreciated sincerely. Let us all keep up the brilliant work and by doing so, will enable tennis to return to normal hopefully in the near future. Kindest regards, Mr B

01.01.2022 IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT Under careful consideration and following new released information from Tennis Australia, I regretfully inform you all that I will be closing Highfields Tennis until further directive from Tennis Australia, most likely until next school term. I feel deeply that due to the number of increasing cases it is safer for ALL to follow the Governments directive and stay home to assist in minimising the risk of spreading/contracting the virus. ... I will however update the page as I learn more information but hope to be up and running by the new school term. Thank you all for such a wonderful term and understanding this necessary step in combating this awful virus. Please stay safe throughout these worrying times and I will see you all soon for a fresh start! Kind regards Mr B
