23.01.2022 And at long last good news for all our potato lovers. We are back at our first Eveleigh Market tomorrow. Look forward to seeing you there. Watch this space for news of other upcoming markets.

22.01.2022 Still working hard on the farm... just started the last planting for our final season. Norm, Dave and Jodie are hard at work planting Sunset Pearl and Toolangi Delight. Robbie is making sure they all stayed focussed!

22.01.2022 As you can see, Norm has been busy grading the mixed roasting potatoes ready for market tomorrow. Dave is looking forward to catching up again with all our customers at Camden and I am sure Norm and Gus will be ready with some Dad jokes at Eveleigh. And of course the roadside stall at Wildes Meadow will be open all weekend and Rob will be about tomorrow to make sure potatoes are available for those who are passing through on their way to Burrawang Easter Market.

20.01.2022 All ready for our last market at Eveleigh for the season. See you again soon.

18.01.2022 To all our Camden customers - Norm will be back this coming Saturday!!! We will only have a few main varieties including Snow Gem, Emma, Kipfler, Atlantic, Pontiac, Dutch Creme and Rideau. This will be our only market at Camden before Christmas, so if you would like to place an order please send an SMS to Robyn @ 0417227767. Our next Camden market will be 23rd January 2016.

17.01.2022 'Twas the week before Christmas... and we are pleased to let everyone know that we have some limited varities of potatoes, including Dutch Creme, Snow Gem, Spunta and Kipfler, available for Christmas. These will be for sale from our farmgate so if you are heading to the Southern Highlands during the holiday period and during 2018, please feel free to call in to 46 Wildes Meadow Road. More varieties will become available later in the New Year. Wishing all our followers a very happy Christmas and all the best for 2018. p.s. As we are now semi-retired we are not attending any farmers markets.

16.01.2022 250ml or 11" and counting! Due to torrential rains we have had to close the stall as we have no more spuds for sale. And the ground that Norm and Dave prepared for our experimental planting under degradable plastic seems to be on its way to the dam. Guess we're farming!

15.01.2022 A few people have asked what we have planted so thought you might be interested to see how we "try" and keep track of where the different varieties are in the paddock. The main varieties in our first planting are Dutch Creme, King Edward, Cranberry Red, Salad Rose, Toolangi Delight and a few others.

11.01.2022 Just letting everyone know that tomorrow will be our last Eveleigh market for the season. The continuing severe frosts have destroyed any potatoes remaining in the ground resulting in our season being cut short. As always Gus and the rest of us will be happy to see you. Will post in the next couple of weeks on the future of Highland Gourmet Potatoes.

11.01.2022 So the time has come. It is with some sadness that we are letting all our wonderful customers and supporters know that this coming Saturday will be our last farmer's market...ever. So if you can make it to Carrriageworks/Eveleigh 8am to 1pm we would really love to see you to say farewell and say thank you for your support over the years. Whilst our market presence is coming to an end we will continue to stock our roadside stall @ 46 Wildes Meadow Road, Wildes Meadow until we have run out of potatoes. The good news is that the stall will continu to operate with a new focus on strawberries and other market garden vegetables. To keep up with progress you might like to follow us on Facebook @Wildes Meadow Farmgate. Looking forward to seeing you one last time. Norm, Robbie, Gus, Belinda, Sanchia, Dave and the rest of the gang.

10.01.2022 Every picture tells a story. Sadly we must let you know that the family farm on which we have grown our potatoes has now been sold. We have been able to secure the lease of a small parcel of land from the new owner which will allow us to grow on a limited basis until 30th June 2017. This will only produce enough potatoes for us to continue our main market at Carriageworks/ Eveleigh, keep our roadside stall operating and honour our contracts with a few selected restaurants. This means that we will not be returning to Camden, Northside and Moss Vale markets. Apologies to all our wonderful customers who have supported us over the years but hopefully we will catch up with some of you at the farm or Eveleigh.

09.01.2022 Woo hoo!!! Last orders for the season ready for delivery tomorrow. We still have a few varieties on the stall which will close at the end of the month. Watch for our first strawberries about mid October. And just to let you know planting of potatoes for next season is under way. Fingers crossed for good weather.

07.01.2022 Well done today Gus. Hired a big tractor and discs to get more ground ready to plant. Good to do some of the real farm work - especially with an air condtioned cab!

06.01.2022 This is what it takes to get your special Christmas potatoes to market. As you can see we have a limited quantity of King Edwards as well as a few Toolangi Delights. We are also hand picking Salad Rose and Dutch Cremes. We are doing our best but please forgive us if we run out...

06.01.2022 Christmas is coming and so are our potatoes!! As you can see we have been enjoying a few early babies at home. The good news is that we will be back at Carriageworks Markets, Eveleigh this coming Saturday with Dutch Cremes, Snow Gem, Emma, Kipfler, Atlantic and a couple of others. We will also be taking orders for our last market before Christmas on the 17th. Due to family commitments we will not be attending the twilight market. Looking forward to seeing you again on Saturday.

05.01.2022 The beginning of the very last season for us growing potatoes So just in case you thought we were having a holiday...

04.01.2022 You may have noticed that things have been a bit quiet on our Facebook page. We have been a little preoccupied as it is with deep sadness that we have to report that Audrey (Robbie's mother-in-law) passed away a few weeks ago. In her words she "had fought the hard battle" and it was time to go. We have not only lost our most enthusiastic and experienced seed cutter but also the owner of the family farm. Although Audrey had been in a nursing home for some years she was always up on what was happening at the farm.

04.01.2022 We are pleased to let everyone know that we have been selected as a State winner in the Earth category of the 2016 delicious Produce Awards. This year we entered our popular "mixed roaster" potatoes to give the judges a taste of the best of varieties we grow. All State winners have been invited to enter into judging for the National Awards. Winners will be announced on 12th September. We await the results with baited breath!

04.01.2022 The 2016 delicious. produce awards have now been announced and we are pleased to say that we were a Gold Medallist in the "From the Earth" category. It is fantastic to have all our hard work recognised and to know that our end product is worthy to stand with such fantastic competition. To find out more check out this month's delicious magazine.

01.01.2022 Our apologies to our Camden customers. Due to illness we are unable to make it to Camden Market tomorrow. We are planning to try and make it next weekend on the 5th Saturday 30th April. Watch this space for confirmation. Will be at Carriageworks Markets at Eveleigh from 8am to 1pm and the roadside stall will be stocked all weekend if you would like to take a scenic autumn drive to the Highlands.

01.01.2022 Don't shoot the messenger

01.01.2022 Just letting everyone know that we will be at CARRIAGEWORKS FARMERS MARKET this coming Saturday. We have had a couple of days without rain and have been able to hand dig limited quantities of a few varieties. It is raining again today so make your way to market early for your share of these delicious potatoes dug fresh from the soil...or was that mud! Watch this space for news on our next market.
