24.01.2022 A good turn up of members today. It was great to hear some tunes from people that dont normally get up. Well done.

24.01.2022 Planning has already started for the Pipe Band competitions. Information will be sent soon. This year Ill also need soloist &/or Piobaireachd performers to play at the opposite end of the gathering. Everyone just wants to hear more bagpipes.

Therefore it’s with a heavy heart and silent ear we announce the cancellation of the Champions of Champions solo competition this year due to the lack of entries. Thank you to the entrants that did enter.

21.01.2022 WEE NOTE ON THE STATE SOLOS Sorry for being a wee bit late with this post, anyhoo the State Solos have come and gone. Not the biggest turn out for obvious reasons but It was great to see the Pipers and Drummers that made the effort !!! Weld done to all that participated. A big thanks as always to Stuart Bradford-PipeBand WA for all his hard work in bringing the event together also the judges for their patience and the last but not least the Fremantle Sailing club for the us...e of their premises + Bar facilities. It was not a bad day out at all for the members of the piping society that took part with a few placing handed out Once again well done to all. Just a few pics from the weekend See more

20.01.2022 Hello HPS members and friends Firstly; we at HPS would like to invite all members and friends to a Christmas Gathering at the Woodvale Tavern, 143 Trappers Drive, Woodvale 6026 on Friday December 11th starting from 7pm If you like to have a meal you will need to confirm your attendance with me (Tom Beggan) NOT LATER THAN this Sunday 29th December for restaurant table booking purposes.... Otherwise; for drinks only in the bar / outdoor area - no booking necessary. 19.01.2022 Great to see another Piping/Drumming competition come and go here in Perth. I am sure you will all agree how lucky we are here in W A in being able to host competitions, and other gatherings like the piping society, which may I just add is on the 20th of this month September at the Como bowling club from 2pm. Anyway It was great to listen to a variety of Piping & Drumming of all levels from young and old. Big thank you to Scotch College, all judges, organisers and the catering team, all well done on a great day. Attached are some photos of the day, sorry if we missed some of the competitors.

17.01.2022 The Highland Piping Society of W A Gathering 15/11/2020 Well it was not the busiest Gathering but for those that turned up it was an enjoyable afternoon of piping. There was quit a few pipers up playing a few tunes and entertaining the gathering from new pipers to experienced pipers and to cap it off we had Scott Hannah come along and entertain the crowd for a while. Oh and as you can see from the few photos Sue our Secretary won the raffle.

09.01.2022 Fantastic day of solo piping at the Highland Pipers Society of W A pipers of Perth solo piping comp on Sunday 18th, I believe a great day was had by all spectators and competitors alike. Great raffles whisky, wine and a Naill poly chanter all won on the day congrats to the winners of the raffles. A huge thank you to all the work done behind the scene no need to mention names we all know who they are !! great job guys, also a big thank you to the club members that supplied and... served up afternoon tea good job guys. Last but not least to the judges Scott & Chris and all the competitors that took part in the competition without your attendance and on going support the comp would not exist. 04.01.2022 Hi all Sunday 16th August Gathering has come and gone. There wasnt a large turn out could possibly be due to the weather being a wee bit wet. Anyway there was a good wee crowd with a few faces we dont see on a regular basis there along with the usual suspects, after the Gathering a few of us went for the now becoming regular occurrence of going to the Como Hotel for tea !! Any not a bad day all in all, hopefully see more pipers and drummers next month. See attached photos and yes the last one was us oot for dinner.
