16.01.2022 Today Olive and I walked the berrima river walk to check on how the wombat burrows faired after the recent floods. As suspected, the answer was not well. Hard to see in the photos but the water line from the flooded river was about 7 or 8 meters back from the rivers edge. Most wombat holes were still flooded, some had collapsed too. So sad. There was some good news for the ones at the beginning of the walk where there were fresh diggings and poo but most sadly were completely destroyed.
