22.01.2022 As all the round games have been played its down to the business end of the season.... In their 1st ever season in Group 6 both Highland Storm Senior teams have qualified for the Finals. The Women’s Tackle team, finishing 4th, will play 3rd placed Campbelltown City Kangaroos @ Victoria Park, Picton SUNDAY 13th Sept @ 12 noon... The 3rd Grade Men, who finished the regular season unbeaten, will take on the other unbeaten team NARELLAN JETS in what will be an awesome game to watch. The best defensive team VS the best attacking team @ Sid Sharp oval , Oakdale SATURDAY 12th Sept @ 6.30pm.

21.01.2022 Highlands Storm move to Group 7 for 2021 and beyond. The Highlands Storm Rugby League Club has applied to move competitions, ending a long affiliation with Group 6 and joining the more regional Group 7 South Coast Competition. NSWRL will advise in the next few weeks if this application has been successful.... Following a long consultation process with players, members and the committee, and many meetings, in the end all voting was unanimous To clearly explain to the general public, we have listed the reasons for the move below; - Group 7/ Illawarra is a strong regional competition - The South Coast player demographics align more closely with the Rural Southern Highlands Region - The South Coast is less densely populated than South Western Sydney - No longer required to travel into South Western Sydney - A great area to stay and visit after you have finished playing footy for the day - Rep players train in Wollongong instead of Sydney - The South Coast has some beautiful Coastal playing venues - Group 7 provides tackle options for both boys and girls - Group 7 provides extensive League Tag options - In competition ages Group 7 combines with IDRL forming comprehensive 1st and 2nd Divisions across all ages The Highlands Storm now welcomes any interested persons to get involved with the fastest growing club in the Southern Highlands!

This is a super exciting time for our club and as previously outlined is a positive step forward for the future of the club and for Rugby League in our area In 2021 our Junior and Senior Teams will play in in the South Coast Competition, with our 13 through to 16-year old’s playing in a combined Illawarra Group 7 Comp. Group 7/Illawarra is a strong regional competition, and with Group 6 merging cer...tain competitions with West Tigers District League this is a great opportunity for the club to prosper and remain in a regional competition. Removing the need for families to travel further into the South West Sydney metropolitan region. With extensive League Tag and established girls tackle competitions Group 7 offers great opportunities for both girls and boys of all ages. The South Coast/ Illawarra region is a fantastic area to spend our away game days!! And we are sure all our families and members will need little excuse for a day trip/ weekend away in winter!
