25.01.2022 Swimming - Wednesday (day 3)

25.01.2022 Please consider requesting via the Australia Post website/app that the Cavendish, Barker St. Post box be increased in size to one of the style with the tilting tray so we can post A4 size envelopes and small parcels. Unfortunately the current one only allows small (regular) size envelopes to be posted. This would save some 50km round trips to Hamilton and be much more efficient for local small business and community members. Hopefully such an upgrade may be possible.

24.01.2022 Update: Only 1.5L and 2L options left as you bought allllll the small ones in just over 24 hours. . Im doing a rather eccentric happy dance over here!!! Orders in by Sept 13 at 8pm! Order here - www.cavendishevents.weebly.com

22.01.2022 Regarding the Post Parcel Box for Cavendish. This is my communication so far with AusPost. Sounds promising. ****** A request, on behalf of the township of Cave...ndish, Victoria. Since our PO closed , we have only had a post box. This has meant anything larger, like A4 size or small parcels have to be treked into Hamilton on a 1 hour round trip. We desperately need the Barker St. Post box to be increased in size to one of the style with the tilting tray so we can post A4 size envelopes and small parcels. Hoping this can happen ASAP. Regards, Jen. Hi Jeni! Were experiencing an increase in enquires which is resulting in extended response times to messages. We apologise for the delay and will be with you shortly. 11:45 AM Hi Jeni. It does sound like something you guys would need. We can put a request in but it will depend on the area and population this Street Posting Box would service. Can I just confirm the location of this Street Posting Box and whether it is Red or Gold? We can see in Cavendish there is one located on 31 Scott street. Is this the one you were referring to? -Clint Hi Clint. Its a red box and in Barker St, near the public toilets. A parcel posting box anywhere in Cavendish would be such a help. No worries Jeni, Ive sent the details to the state Street Posting Box team under reference 34714788. Theyll assess the situation and hopefully get back to you. It definitely sounds like it needs a bit of an update, and hopefully we can work this out for your community. Mikey 1:37 PM Thats excellent. Thank you so much. I look forward to hearing back. Thank you. Jeni ******

07.01.2022 Hi guys! How’re you going? I’m looking to relocate from Melbourne as I’ll be working out of Cavendish for the duration of the fire season. I’ll be starting earl...y November so I gotta get things sorted ASAP. I’ve been looking at rental properties online and there isn’t a lot but I’ve made a few applications. Just checking in to see if there’s anything you guys could suggest that perhaps I’ve not thought of like a local noticeboard or something of the like. Or even if you know someone who has a space they are willing to rent out that might not be listed as yet. I’m looking for something for around 6-9 months. Love to hear from you, and nice to meet you all. Ant.

As you will b...e seeing in other venues already, there are a lot of rules we all have to follow to keep everyone as safe as possible, so please have a read through and make sure you understand whats going on. Finally, please bear with us as we work around limitations on numbers, timing, etc. Were still processing it all too!

04.01.2022 ****FIRE RESTRICTIONS**** Hi all, This year our area has been divided into three new restriction zones, South Southern Grampians, Central Southern Grampians and... Northern Southern Grampians. The boundary for the South Southern Grampians and the Central Southern Grampians follows the Wannon river. The Dundas Group of Fire Brigades in conjunction with the CFA District 5 headquarters in Hamilton have approved these changes. As of midnight Sunday 30th November the Fire Danger Period (FDP) will commence in the Central Southern Grampians and the Northern Southern Grampians restrictions zones (not south of the Wannon River). This means that no burning off can occur unless a permit is issued where the FDP has been declared. Further information can be found at - www.cfa.vic.gov.au/warnings-restrictions Thanks Chris Glisson Secretary, Cavendish Fire Brigade
