13.01.2022 When learning from one of the great Australia winemakers - Phillip Jones (Bass Phillip) his advice to us was to make great wine we must drink great wines. We continue in this quest! If you can't see the labels the Grands Echezeaux was a 1961 and the Richebourg 1923. Amazing!

02.01.2022 WOW Factor Whites 2011 Premium Chardonnay - 95 Points (James Halliday)

01.01.2022 Hillcrest 2006 Estate Pinot Noir Tasting note 31st January 2015 Medium to dark red, just now transitioning from primary to secondary characters. Delicious red fruits, spice, with a hint of forest. A sweet core of fruit overlaying a tangy spine with perfectly integrated tannins. Probably entering its peak drinking window, will last easily for another decade. More open and expressive than a Reserve drunk recently, which is closed at present and was much more brooding. The 2006 vintage has always been one of my favourites, and this wine shows why. Drink now-2025.
