01.01.2022 Hillman Cricket Club, together with the Coastal district care centre are collecting donations for folks who are struggling this Xmas. I think we can all agree that 2020 has been an extremely difficult year for hundreds of local families & businesses. Some have lost everything. Nothing destroys the soul quite like poverty & the helpless reality for many is that this Xmas will be a non-event. Are you one of them? Perhaps it's the person sitting next to you? But the...re's something we can do! At the Club there is a *tin which you can donate cash into* or when you're on your way out to the Club you can grab a few unopened products from your *pantry or bathroom* to leave in the donation boxes in the Clubhouse. Some non-perishable suggestions include: * rice * canned food * shampoos & soaps * pasta * long-life milk * cooking oil * sealed jams & spreads * hand sanitizer * beauty products & sanitary items * dried fruits * Please, nothing packed in glass or which is past (or close to) its "used by" date; no fresh produce; nothing which requires freezing.
